A few months ago, it was revealed that after several previous attempts had failed to materialize, the live-action TV series starring the Teen Titans was finally on the way. Simply titled Titans, the show about DC’s teenage sidekicks and superheroes will be one of the first to air on an upcoming DC-only digital streaming service and, according to new reports, it could start filming as soon as this September.

Production Weekly are claiming that Titans is all set to begin shooting in Atlanta on September 25th. If true, we should expect some casting announcements to start arriving in the next couple of months. Not to mention we should also be getting some concrete information about the show itself. For instance, which heroes will be included? Will it tie into The CW’s Arrowverse? Or maybe even into the DC Extended Universe?

Here’s all that we do know about the series so far, courtesy of the official synopsis:

It follows a group of young soon-to-be superheroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. In the action-adventure series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes that includes Starfire, Raven and others.

Until we get more, you can see the Teen Titans in the recent animated movie Teen Titans: The Judas Contract, based on the iconic comic book storyline. Nightwing will also feature in the upcoming DCEU effort from The LEGO Batman Movie director Chris McKay, while Kid Flash is a regular character on The Flash, as played by Keiynan Lonsdale.

Titans is exec produced by DC chief Geoff Johns, Arrowverse mastermind Greg Berlanti and writer Akiva Goldsman, and it’s expected to premiere at some point in 2018.
