Here’s How Vanessa Hudgens Could Look As Catwoman In The Batman

The news that Robert Pattinson is virtually confirmed to be the next Dark Knight has been followed by other reports claiming who else could be joining the cast of Matt Reeves' The Batman. One such rumor points to Vanessa Hudgens playing Catwoman opposite Pattinson's Caped Crusader. Catwoman is already confirmed to be part of the movie, as Reeves is going to pit the Batman opposite not just one or two but six of his greatest foes. The Penguin and Selina are said to be the most prominent of the rogues gallery, with the Riddler as a tertiary antagonist. Bane and Scarecrow are also rumored to be appearing as well, but no word yet on who the sixth could be.

To clarify, Hudgens’ involvement is much less assured than Pattinson’s, though you can see from this mocked-up image why she would be a good fit for the role. She’d also work with Pattinson specifically as the pair are similar in age – the British actor is 33 while Hudgens is 30. As can be told by these two actors’ ages, The Batman is set to explore Bruce in his younger days. That said, we’re hearing that it won’t be treated as a prequel to Ben Affleck’s version anymore.

Likewise, if The Batman does well, it could end up as the progenitor of a whole Bat-verse franchise, with spinoff movies for other Gotham citizens such as Nightwing, Batgirl and, who knows, maybe even Catwoman? But will the character be played by Vanessa Hudgens? We’re certainly curious to find out. But then again, what did curiosity do to the cat?
