Understandably, a lot of fans have been canceling their HBO subscriptions following the conclusion of Game of Thrones season 8.

Indeed, Google searches for “cancel HBO” saw a noticeable spike after the controversial series finale, titled “The Iron Throne.” And while it makes sense that so many subscribers would hit the cancel button after their favorite show has come to an end, it seems that a good amount of fans are still finding it difficult to adjust to a world without Thrones.

But someone else who’s also having a tough time now that the hit fantasy program has ended is star Kit Harington. Earlier today, we heard that the actor had checked himself in to rehab as he was struggling with alcohol and stress-related issues. But according to a statement from his reps, things aren’t as bad as they seem.

Apparently, Kit’s simply “decided to utilize this break in his schedule as an opportunity to spend some time at a wellness retreat to work on some personal issues.” Furthermore, his reps have confirmed that this “definitely won’t impact any potential upcoming work.”

Of course, the above statements could just be Kit’s team trying to downplay the situation and control the story before it blows up into something it’s not, but for the moment, it doesn’t look like there’s any real reason to worry. After all, we imagine coping with the loss of Game of Thrones would be difficult for the actor given it’s been a major part of his life for the last decade or so and if he really does just need some time at a wellness retreat to work out a few issues, that’s perfectly understandable.

From what we’ve heard, Kit checked in a few weeks ago and is expected to be there for a month. And as soon as we receive any further updates on his status, we’ll be sure to let you know.
