A Pennsylvania woman said she was left without groceries after Walmart allegedly delivered another customer’s order, then told her she needed to return the mistakenly delivered items before receiving a refund. In August 2026, TikTok creator Katie (@ktnegs), who describes herself as a stay-at-home mom, documented the situation in two viral August 2026 videos. She said she relies heavily on Walmart grocery delivery because a disability prevents her from shopping for groceries on her own.
In her first video, Katie said she ordered about $200 worth of groceries but received someone else’s delivery instead. The order she received included items such as soda, Gatorade, protein shakes, and protein yogurt, which she said did not meet her family’s needs.
She said she particularly needed diapers, cat food and food for her 4-year-old child, who she said eats only certain foods. According to Katie, she first attempted to contact the delivery driver but received no response.
She then contacted Walmart customer support.
After not reaching the driver, Katie contacted Walmart customer service and said they told her the company could not send another grocery order. She said Walmart offered to refund the purchase but told her the process could take 10 business days.
Katie said a Walmart representative also told her she could keep the groceries delivered to her. She said she later gave the unwanted groceries to people who could use them. The following day, however, Katie said Walmart contacted her and told her she needed to return the items before receiving her refund.
That left her in a difficult position. “I have no food,” Katie said. “I’m not gonna go to feed my kid tonight.”
She said she spoke with multiple Walmart representatives and managers while trying to resolve the issue. Katie also said she paid for the order with food stamps and questioned why she should have to absorb the loss when she never received the groceries she purchased.
Walmart’s published refund policy currently says refunds to EBT/SNAP cards can take up to three hours. Walmart’s published guidance says customers who cannot locate a delivered order should check the delivery confirmation photo, contact customer support through its online chat, and request a refund.
Katie shared an update.
In a follow-up, Katie said the dispute was eventually resolved after she spoke with a Walmart representative named Johnny. “I just got a formal apology for everything I’ve gone through, and they’re giving me a full refund,” Katie said. Walmart also planned to address what happened with the people involved in the delivery.
She later responded to commenters who questioned whether her story was genuine or whether she wanted viewers to buy her groceries. Katie said she had declined offers from people who wanted to purchase groceries for her. “I use this as like, a diary or a way to vent,” she said. By the end of her follow-up video, Katie said she felt relieved but remained uncertain about whether she would continue using Walmart delivery.
Katie’s situation had a happy ending, unlike another recent viral Walmart delivery story, where a woman in Texas alleges a Walmart Spark delivery driver returned to her home with a knife. She claims she recorded the confrontation on her doorbell camera.
