Amell’s shot of the clacker board doesn’t reveal much unfortunately, with James Bamford directing and Gord Verheul shooting the episode. What’s more striking is the Arrow season 8 logo, and Amell’s caption of “one last time.” These posts suggest it’ll be hard for him to leave Oliver Queen behind, although we’re hopeful for an emotional send-off for the hero.

But that’s not all, as the folks over at Canadagraphs have also captured some shots of the actor in the bottom half of his suit and hanging around set, and you can check out everything for yourself in the gallery down below.

Series producer Beth Schwartz recently shared the first page of the “Starling City” script, with the title referencing the original name of what became Star City. We’ve already theorized this setting could mean the return of The Monitor to another part of the Multiverse where the name change never occurred.

In any case, we know that the final season of ten episodes is set to be dominated by the “Crisis” storyline. Given the ending of season 7, though, how Oliver Queen will return is unclear. Perhaps he could be a resident of “Starling City” as the series begins, dealing with a changed Arrowverse. Katherine McNamara and Joseph David-Jones will also be upgraded to series regulars, raising further questions over the timeline and use of the multiverse.

Though Arrow season 8 won’t premiere until October 15th on The CW, we’ll no doubt learn more next week at San Diego Comic-Con, which will likely bring us a trailer for the final season of the show. As always, watch this space for further updates.
