‘Attack on Titan’ reveals two new titles for upcoming season four episodes

The titles for the next two Attack on Titan episodes have been revealed by the anime's official Japanese website.

Following this week’s outing, there are only 10 episodes left in the Attack on Titan saga, and the official website for the anime has just given us the title names for the next two.

The second part of the final season of Shingeki no Kyojin has a lot of plot threads to tie up. Not only do we still have to uncover the truth about Ymir and how she subjugated the Titans in the first place, but there are also a ton of character arcs that the narrative has to pay off. Suffice to say, Attack on Titan will have to keep some elements to a bare minimum, and that includes long character monologues that admittedly build suspense, but more often than not get in the way of proper narrative pacing.

As for what we can expect from episodes 78 and 79, AttackOnFans – a fan outlet dedicated to covering the news of the highly popular anime – has just pulled the titles from the official Japanese website.

Episode 78 will be titled “兄と弟” or “Two Brothers.” Episode 79 is “未来の記憶” which roughly translates to “Memories of the Future.”

While these titles don’t give too much away in terms of what the story will entail, “Two Brothers” obviously refers to Eren and Zeke’s relationship. “Memories of the Future” is also a bit ambiguous, but perhaps Eren’s Founding Titan powers grant him the ability to look into the past and the future? These are all speculation, so we’ll just have to wait and see for ourselves when these upcoming episodes premiere on Jan. 24 and Jan. 31, respectively.
