Eren Yeager is returning at last, and everyone – even train stations – can celebrate the return of Attack on Titan back onto screens, even amidst its odd breakup between parts.
Attack on Titan‘s third part of the last season is nearing its return in March, with a one-hour special episode marking a feature-length comeback. Considering this anime and manga’s popularity across the world, train stations all over Japan are already anticipating the return of the series via advertisements placed in public concentration centers. Most recently, someone caught sight of an ad at Shibuya station featuring some rather important scenes for the upcoming return, that may as well qualify as major spoilers.
In their defense, the original manga created by Hajime Isayama was finished after publishing its 139th chapter, ending Attack on Titan‘s 11-year publication run on April 2021. As most fans in Japan tend to follow the literary format of the stories prior to watching the anime, the major spoilers advertised aren’t that big of a deal, especially when the story’s ending has been out for nearly two years.
Nonetheless, fans in the West who are much more attached to the animated version of their favorite tales were less than excited to find spoilers from a train station, and immediately sent off a warning for all Japan-based fans.
Despite the warning for spoilers, the advertisement was still very well received by fans who have been highly anticipating the last and final season of Attack on Titan. Admiring the animation and art style, compliments flooded the post thoroughly praising the upcoming third part of the fourth season.
Attack on Titan will be returning on March 3, 2023, on Crunchyroll with an hour-long episode.
