Justin Lin Ready For Fast And Furious 6
Director Justin Lin is all ready to go for Fast and Furious 6, and why wouldn't he be? After the monstrous box office take that Fast Five brought in, a sequel is a no brainer. A sixth film has been in the works for a while now and as of this point, it's all but greenlit. Lin will once again take the director's role and it's assumed that at least Paul Walker and Vin Diesel will return. Lin told USA Today that "“['Fast and the Furious 6' is] pretty much 100%. It’s going to happen… At five, we’re just hitting our stride. We’re growing. People want to continue this journey.”

Malin Akerman Will Join Tom Cruise In Rock Of Ages
Malin Akerman is the newest name to be added to Rock Of Ages. Deadline is reporting that Akerman is the last piece of the casting puzzle for Adam Shankman's film. She'll play Constance, a journliast who is writing a piece on Tom Cruise's character. Akerman is taking over after both Amy Adams and Anne Hathaway dropped out due to scheduling issues (with Man Of Steel And The Dark Knight Rises). She'll join a cast that already includes (aside from Cruise) Bryan Cranston, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Alec Baldwin, Mary J. Blige, Russell Brand, Paul Giamatti, Diego Boneta and Julianne Hough. Pretty fantastic cast if you ask me. Don't you think?

Final Green Lantern Trailer
The final trailer for Green Lantern has been released and it contains a ton of new footage. For me personally, the film keeps looking better and better. The first trailer didn't do much for me but after I saw the Wonder Con footage my mind was changed. Now with this trailer, I'm definitely on board. It still looks really heavy on the CGI but it also looks like one hell of a blockbuster. With the June 17th release date drawing closer, it will be interesting to see how this one does with critics, especially since they bashed it when the first trailer was released a few months ago.

Awesome Gaming Stats From 2010
2010 was a great year for gaming. 500 million videogames were sold worldwide, XBOX Live had 30 million subscribers, Nintendo was the #1 console manufacturer and there were 40 million gaming related Tweets on Twitter. How do I know all this? I watched the awesome video below. The video, titled 2010 - A Gaming Year In Review is an interesting look at some of the mind-blowing gaming stats from 2010. Prepare to be amazed.

The Weinsteins Push Forward On Seven Samurai Remake
Variety is reporting that the Weinsteins are moving ahead on their Seven Samurai remake. They've hired director Scott Mann to direct the film. Who you ask? Scott Mann, you know, the guy who directed The Tournament. The what you ask? Yup, that's right. The brothers have hired some hack director to remake what is considered by most to be one of the greatest films of all time. The $60 million project will place the story in a contemporary setting. Oh and get this, instead of samurais it will be paramilitary contractors. Excited yet? Here's one more tidbit, John Fusco (The Forbidden Kingdom, Young Guns) is penning the script.

Burn Notice Picks Up The Big Show
USA Network's Burn Notice has added a large star to the cast, literally. The Big Show, a WWE wrestler has been added to the cast. The Big Show will make his first appearance during the fifth season which starts this summer, he'll show up for the first time in episode four. Screen Rant tells us he'll play "Griffin Black, a dimwitted thug working as muscle for more dangerous adversaries." It's unknown if he'll appear past episode four or if it's just a one time gig.

Saoirse Ronan To Star In The Host
Rising starlet Saoirse Ronan is set to take on the lead role in The Host, according to Deadline. She's rumored to be part of Peter Jackson's The Hobbit, although she told us it wasn't happening, and she's also being eyed for Joe Wright's Anna Karenina but while those two projects await her confirmation, we have The Host to look forward to. Twilight scribe Stephanie Meyer penned the novel that the film is based on. The novel set in the near future "where alien parasite “souls” benevolently take over the consciousness of humans. One such “soul,” named Wanderer, inhabits the body of a dying woman, Melanie Stryder, who just happens to be obsessed with finding the last group of surviving humans. And thus yet another forbidden love is born."

Want To Play Resistance 3? Buy Battle: Los Angeles On Blu-Ray
Eager to get your hands on the Resistance 3 demo? Well Destructoid is telling us you may have another way to get in on the fun. If you buy Battle: Los Angeles on Blu-Ray you'll have access to the Resistance 3 demo and Sony promises that it will include 30 minutes of gameplay. Not a bad deal if you ask me. I actually kind of liked Battlefield: Los Angeles, I know a lot of critics slammed it but I didn't mind it. I'll likely pick it up once it comes out on Blu-Ray. I think this is a good idea though, tying in the demo with the Blu-Ray, if it works well you can expect Sony to continue with it.

The Hangover Part II Soundtrack Revealed
Soundtrack listings usually aren't a big deal and we don't often post them. In fact, this is probably the first time we're doing it. Todd Phillips usually picks pretty great songs for his films and after The Playlist unveiled the soundtrack listing for The Hangover Part II, it looks like Phillips will continue the trend. We get everything from Kanye West to Billy Joel and even a bit of a Deadmau5. Looks like Ed Helms is also contributing again. The first film had Usher, Flo Rida, Kanye West, T.I., Phil Collins and more. Arguably, in my opinion it was better. But still, there are some solid songs here and they will definitely add to the film.

The Green Hornet Blu-Ray Review
I didn't hate The Green Hornet, just putting that out there. In all honesty, it really wasn't that bad. The film was torn apart by critics but I thought for the most part, that it was watchable, entertaining and frequently humorous, despite being somewhat flawed. Maybe it's because I'm a Seth Rogen fan, or perhaps it's because I'm a Christoph Waltz fan, but either way, I did enjoy The Green Hornet. It never tries to be anymore than what it is, and that's a crowd pleasing, mindless fun popcorn flick. And with an already established fan base (the character has appeared in radio, television and comics), the film looked to add a few more people to the Green Hornet fan club.
