Benicio Del Toro To Star In Oliver Stone’s Savages
Deadline is reporting that Benicio Del Toro is set to star in Oliver Stone's Savages. The film, based on Don Winslow‘s book, will tell the story of two marijuana growers who go up against the Mexican cartel when their shared girlfriend is kidnapped. Del Toro will play an enforcer for the cartel. Additional cast members include Aaron Johnson and Taylor Kitsch who will play the two growers. Also, Olivia Wilde is close to inking a deal that would have her playing the girlfriend. With production starting in June, it shouldn't be too long before we hear more on casting. We'll keep you updated.

David O. Russell Eager To Write The Fighter 2
After Mark Wahlberg recently spoke about his wishes for a sequel to The Fighter, we now have more news on the potential film, and this time it comes from director David O. Russell, who is ready to write The Fighter 2. The Fighter was Russell's first film without a writing credit, which was somewhat surprising since he likes to have full control over his projects. Speaking of projects, after the success of The Fighter, Russell has his pick of films and one of the ones that he is eager to do next is The Fighter 2. Speaking about the film he said, “I think that would be awesome, I just love those characters and I think we could do a lot of fun and interesting stuff.” He went onto say that he would do it “whenever anyone says they’re ready, I’m ready to write it.” When asked if that meant he would help with the script, he said he would “definitely want to be involved in that.”

Samantha Morton Will Star In David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis
Samantha Morton is the latest actress to join David Cronenberg's upcoming film Cosmopolis. Morton joins a cast that includes names like Robert Pattinson and Keira Knightley. Originally, Colin Farrell was set to star, and then Robert Pattinson replaced him. Farrell had to leave due to scheduling issues with Total Recall. Marion Cotillard was also set to star but then was replaced by Keira Knightley due to the fact that Pattinson replaced Farrell. Also thrown into the crazy mix of a cast is Paul Giamatti, Juliette Binoche and Mathieu Amalric.

David Fincher May Direct Cleopatra
Deadline is reporting today that David Fincher is being eyed to direct Sony Pictures' Cleopatra biopic, based on Stacy Schiff's bestselling book Cleopatra: A Life. Angelina Jolie is attached to star and as of now the director's chair is empty. It may not stay that way for long though. Sony wants Fincher to direct and it seems like a logical decision. He just directed The Social Network for them and we all know how well that did. Furthermore, his producer on The Social Network, Scott Rudin, is also producing Cleopatra. Lastly, Fincher is working again with Rudin on The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, which is also at Sony. So re-teaming Fincher and Rudin again for Cleopatra would make sense.

CONTEST: Win Casino Jack DVD
Time for another contest and this time we're giving away three copies of Casino Jack on DVD. The film is Kevin Spacey's latest and he takes on the role of DC lobbyist Jack Abramoff. I saw the film back when it hit theatres and loved it. Spacey gave a fantastic performance and the film is very entertaining, even for those not interested in politics. Hop Trailer #3
Thus far, I haven't been too impressed from what we've seen from Hop. I like Russell Brand, a lot, but the film itself doesn't look too good. James Marsden and Russell Brand star in this live-action/animated film that revolves around a rabbit, and not just any rabbit. This particular rabbit is the Easter bunny. The plot tells the story of James Marsden’s character, Fred, who accidentally hits the Easter bunny while driving. The Easter bunny fakes an injury and Fred takes him home. As the two struggle to live together, Fred has to learn how to get along with his new housemate quickly as it’s up to him to save Easter. Tim Hill (Alvin and the Chipmunks) will direct the film and it will hit theatres on April 1st. Check out the third trailer for the film below

Creepy New Trailer For 11-11-11
11-11-11 is one of the few horror movies coming out that genuinely looks scary. And that's saying a lot. I haven't seen a horror movie in forever that actually frightened me. The horror market is over-saturated with either crummy PG-13 horror films that are lame and not scary, or Saw type films that use blood and gore to try and scare audiences. 11-11-11 looks different though. We saw the first trailer a while back and I was quite impressed. This new trailer looks even better. Frequent Saw director, Darren Lynn Bousman, is behind the camera here and currently at work on post-production for the film, awaiting its 11-11-11 release date.
