With the great reception that Guardians Of The Galaxy has received so far, Chris Pratt is a hotter name than he's ever been before. Because of this, I'm sure that a few more people are getting excited for next summer's Jurassic World. Now, to capitalize on GOTG's release, director Colin Trevorrow took to Twitter Thursday night to post a new picture of Pratt in the upcoming film.
While some fans have been excited about the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy 2 news coming from Comic-Con, I've been just staring at my computer with bated breath, waiting for some speck of news about a Doctor Strange movie. While we don't have any solid casting news yet, we do have Kevin Feige dishing on the tone of the film, and it sounds just about perfect.
Almost anyone who saw the 2007 film The Man From Earth was struck by just how powerful that low budget sci-fi movie is. It was so low budget that it takes place almost entirely in one room with the characters just discussing the possibility of a man who never aged and the implications that might have on human history. I was as blown away by the film as anyone, so I was thrilled when I found out tonight that producer Eric D. Wilkinson and director/co-producer Richard Schenkman were putting together a Kickstarter campaign for a spin-off of the original film titled Man From Earth: The Series.
With the coming of Comic-Con every year, fans can look forward to a slew of rumors, news and promotion for all the big upcoming blockbusters. With only a few days now to go until Comic-Con 2014, that stream has slowly begun, and today we've got our first glimpse at an excellent piece of promotion for the movie I'm most excited for: Jurassic World.
With production for Star Wars: Episode VII underway, we've already had more than our fair share of rumors and hints at what the first film in the next Star Wars trilogy might feature. Fortunately, today's information about a galaxy far, far away is actually some solid news, albeit not the most groundbreaking.
Of the shows that Marvel and Netflix are collaborating on, there's none that I'm more excited for than Daredevil. Despite Drew Goddard being replaced as showrunner, this project still has plenty going for it. Daredevil is a very interesting character, and they've found an excellent cast to bring his story to the small screen. While we're still very much in the dark as to which direction the series is heading in, I'm definitely looking forward to this one.
Tonight, Warner Bros. released the very first trailer for The Judge, an upcoming drama starring Robert Downey Jr. and Robert Duvall. It's been a highly anticipated movie almost ever since it was announced, and for no other reason than the two powerhouse actors who topline the cast. But with this trailer, fans now have another reason to be excited.
Before even diving into this one, I want to be very clear: The original source who is reporting this has a disclaimer on their site in big, bold letters saying that there's a good chance this information might be incorrect and that they can't say for sure it is any way accurate. So why bother writing about it at all? Well, because if true, these could be the first concrete details about the villains for Star Wars: Episode VII.
This year E3 showed us just how cinematic some of the best video games are getting. Not looking to be left in the cold, plenty of movie studios are looking to inject a bit of video game power into their flicks. There's been the bad (Need For Speed) and the really, really bad (Super Mario Brothers), but now Sony is looking to buck that trend with a new feature film franchise based on the Sega character Sonic The Hedgehog.
For the next chapter in the increasingly complex saga of Ant-Man, we have Rawson Marshall Thurber. After Edgar Wright departed the project, there was word that Thurber would be in the running for the gig. He wasn't offered it first though, no, that honor went to Adam McKay, who promptly declined. Marvel then ran over and asked if Thurber would be interested, but it turns out that he's not, as we now have word that he too has turned down an offer from the studio.
