The year is done and it is time for us all to look back upon our digital conquests! Personally, I feel like 2010 was more of a catchup year, for me at least. Now, I only have an Xbox 360 due to a superb lack of funds but I hope to jump into the PS3 arena before a new console is announced!
I spent a bit of time during the beginning of the year trying to make some progress on Fallout 3 and Dragon Age since they are such large games. Unfortunately, I didn’t even get to start delving into the DLC for either of those games, even to this day!
With Square Enix revising their outlook for the year of 2011, they are pushing back the release date of Deus Ex: Human Revolution from March 8th, 2011, to an undisclosed date after April 1st, 2011 which is the next fiscal year for the company. As a reason for this move, the company said that it was to done to increase the polish on the title.
Koei is at it again with Dynasty Warriors 7 and this time they look as if they are actually changing something. Promising a release date of March 2011, Koei decided to scrap the old engine and optimize it for the PS3. That is probably the biggest bit of optimism for the game in and of itself. Apparently this engine change will mean a smoother frame rate and more detailed graphics. They’ve also promised stereoscopic 3D and Playstation Move support.
That’s right! The Ghostbusters are building their buzz once again with the announcement of a 4 player, co-op, top scrolling, shooter entitled Ghostbusters: Sanctum Of Slime. Hot off the heals of Assault Heroes, the sleeper hit released in June ’09, developer Wanako is putting together a slime fest that will be available on XBLA, PSN, and PC.
Comcast, Verizon, Charter, and now Microsoft? That’s right, Microsoft has reported that they are planning on bringing more cable channels to the console than just ESPN as recently added via the lastest Xbox live update.
