Deep Silver is continuing on with the Dead Island brand, it seems, as the Australian Classification Board has rated a new game called Dead Island: Retro Revenge. Campy, silly sounding and likely another spin-off, it comes as a bit of a surprise given the series' somewhat recent issues.
The Walking Dead is returning to television this weekend, which is a big deal for fans of the series, including myself. However, there's more to be excited about if you're an undead-loving gamer, as Telltale Games has officially confirmed that the first episode of its three-part The Walking Dead: Michonne mini-series will also debut near the end of this wintry month.
Just prior to E3 and all of its festivities, sleuthing gamers will be able to purchase and unravel the mystery of Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 or Steam for PC. The eighth game in Frogwares' long-running series, it carries a May 27th release date and has just had its stylized packshots unveiled.
This is the day that many zombie loving gamers have been waiting for, as it marks the anticipated release of Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition. To celebrate and get the word out even further, Techland has debuted a gory launch trailer that does a good job of setting the mood.
Zombie Vikings -- the "four-player stab-you-in-the-gut-a-thon" brawler from the creators of Stick it to the Man -- is shambling its way towards Xbox One, and will eat the console's brains sometime in the relatively near future. These undead will come bearing gifts, too, in the form of exclusive Xbox One content that isn't available in the previously released PS4 or PC versions of the game.
Ubisoft has announced that Trackmania Turbo -- which looks like a rocket-fuelled trip down Childhood Lane -- will release late next month on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. It will then mark the return of Nadeo's popular and long-running series, which was revealed at last year's E3 expo.
ADATA, the Taiwanese PC storage and memory manufacturer, has officially revealed a new external hard drive marketed specifically towards gamers. Known as the HD650X, it features a light green and black colour scheme and will offer two terabytes worth of storage, allowing Xbox One (and Xbox 360) owners to store a host of extra games.
If there's one thing that can be said about Ubisoft, it's that its marketing team loves trailers. I mean, it honestly seems as if that one company produces two times the amount of trailers as any of its competitors, and I wouldn't be surprised if that estimate actually ended up being too low.
On May 13th, Hell will once again open up and spew forth creatures of all grotesque variations. Thankfully, we'll be able to fight back, with guns and a plethora of bullets (and their contemporaries) in hand.
