New Star Wars Book Offers Best Look At Leia’s Lightsaber Yet
Eight months on, the consensus is that The Rise of Skywalker was a big disappointment. But there were still a couple of cool moments, the best being the all-too-brief flashback to Luke instructing Leia to become a Jedi soon after Return of the Jedi. Seeing the Skywalker siblings spar was catnip for Star Wars fans and using Carrie Fisher's daughter Billie Lourd as her body double with a CGI face worked spookily well. Ever since that scene, fans have been wanting to know more about Leia's time exploring her connection with the Force and how far her training progressed.

Kanye West Hints That His Presidential Campaign Is Designed To Cost Joe Biden Votes
The Kanye West 2020 Presidential campaign has had a rough couple of days. Leaving aside the baseline hum of bizarre behavior from West himself, we've seen numerous reports of forged signatures on his ballot petition. In Illinois it was eventually determined that almost two-thirds of the 3,128 signatures on his petition were invalid and he was removed from the ballot. In Wisconsin officials drew attention to signatures naming "Mickey Mouse", "Bernie Sanders" as supporters of his, and witnesses say they were tricked into signing.

And honestly, I'd be pretty mad if that happened to me, too.

Star Wars Reveals How Luke Learned About Order 66
One of the more intriguing questions inĀ Star Wars lore is how much the average person knows about the Jedi. In the prequels, the Jedi were clearly a major force in the galaxy. Jedi Generals led troops in the Clone Wars across numerous planets and their headquarters was an enormous, eye-catching building in the center of Coruscant. And yet, by the time of A New Hope, just 19 years later, it seems that most people haven't even heard of the Jedi. If they have, they consider them at best a myth.

1 Million Cannibal Ants Have Now Escaped Their Soviet Nuclear Bunker Prison
A horde of ravenous cannibal ants have escaped confinement in a Soviet nuclear weapons bunker and it might just be the heartwarming story we all need in 2020. Researchers discovered the phenomenon back in 2013 when conducting a study into bats who'd made their home in the bunker. While there they found a 'colony' comprised only of worker ants, meaning that they had no way of reproducing. When the researchers returned to the bunker in 2016 they were shocked to find that the number of ants had grown significantly.

Star Trek: Lower Decks Brings Back Picard’s Notorious Dune Buggy
Star Trek: Lower Decks premiered this week on CBS All Access and was far from the disaster many predicted. Despite the comedic tone, it had a seriousness at its core and, as promised, didn't make fun of the principles at the heart of the Star Trek. It also contained a lot of references to tickle the knowledgeable fans. There's obvious stuff like the Klingon bat'leth, but less-known stuff like the appearance of little-seen alien species the Benzites and the notorious 'skant.' However, there's one reference that will surely have seasoned TrekĀ fans shuddering.
