With Ben Affleck's time in the cape and cowl now a memory, Warner Bros are on the hunt for a new Batman. Over the last few weeks we've heard a couple of promising names for Matt Reeves' The Batman (I think Robert Pattinson would actually be a great choice), but there's one name that's always seemed kinda plausible: Oscar Isaac. Having proved his mettle as a dramatic actor many times over (and cementing his heroic leading man status in the Star Wars sequel trilogy), he's emerged as a front-runner.

Dead By Daylight May Be Receiving Evil Dead DLC

Asymmetric survival multiplayer game Dead by Daylight is getting a little long in the tooth, but it looks like it's still capable of a surprise or two. Released on PC in 2016, it's since appeared on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and most recently the Switch. Since its launch, the game has seen a steady stream of DLC, including appearances from Freddy Krueger, Leatherface and Michael Myers (and allowed players to take control of Laurie Strode). And now it's looking like you'll be able to step into the shoes of Bruce Campbell's Ash Williams.

Left 4 Dead Successor Back 4 Blood May Have Split Screen Co-Op

With Valve Software having largely given up the business of making games in order to run Steam, fans of their biggest franchises like Portal, Left 4 Dead and, of course, Half-Life have been out in the cold for nearly a decade. That's why Turtle Rock's announcement that they're making a Back 4 Blood, a spiritual sequel to the much-loved PvE multiplayer shooter was greeted with enthusiasm. Since Left 4 Dead, Turtle Rock put out the disappointing Evolve, which quickly sank without a trace, but with this game they claim to be "going back to [their] roots".

Respawn Says Apex Legends’ First Battle Pass Is All About The Core Experience

After much hype, many leaks and a whole bunch of rumors, the Apex Legends Season 1 Battle Pass is finally here. Entitled Wild Frontier, the pass offers you a chance to earn 100 unlocks just by playing the game. These include a couple of new skins, some Apex Coins (which can be put towards Season 2) and a whole bunch of badges, skill trackers and so on. Since its launch in early February, Respawn has received nothing but good press for their latest release, but it looks like the honeymoon period is over, as players are distinctly underwhelmed by the contents of Season 1. And, in my opinion, they're right to be.

First Hellboy Clip Introduces Ian McShane’s Professor Bruttenholm

As of right now, things aren't looking too great for Neil Marshall's reboot of Hellboy. After a poorly received trailer, coupled with having to follow Guillermo del Toro and Ron Perlman's take on the character, box office projections predict a disappointing theatrical run for the movie. Whether you're on board with the project or not though, you should hope that this film at least does okay, because if it flops, don't expect to see the character on the big screen again.

Here’s How To Get The Apex Legends Season 2 Battle Pass For Free

The reception to the Apex Legends Season 1 Battle Pass, titled 'Wild Frontier' has been a bit mixed. While new hero Octane is a whole bunch of fun, some players have been feeling distinctly underwhelmed by what's on offer. The pass features 100 levels each with their own reward, but many of them are badges and stat trackers, which it's going to be difficult to get anyone excited about. Players were hoping for something a bit more substantial like a bunch of character and weapon skins, or perhaps some cool custom emotes or alternate executions. They're valid criticisms, but fortunately, there's at least one aspect of the pack that's being received positively.

The Apex Legends Season 1 Battle Pass Is Now Live

Ever since Apex Legends exploded onto consoles and PCs on February 4th, fans have been wondering when the first season proper would commence. Well, wonder no longer, because as of right now, Season 1 - titled Wild Frontier - is upon us. Available from today on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, the battle pass costs 950 Apex Coins (or $10 in actual money) and consists of 100 levels through which you can progress through to earn cosmetic rewards.

Lucasfilm May Be Working On More In-House Star Wars Games

You'd have to look pretty hard to find someone who doesn't think that EA has royally ballsed up their Star Wars games exclusivity deal. Despite being the only publisher allowed to release AAA games on major consoles and PC, they’ve managed just two poorly received multiplayer shooters. On top of that, and as if to rub salt into the wound, they’ve cancelled a number of promising projects, with the biggest loss being Dead Space developer Visceral Games’ open world single-player adventure. There have been repeated rumblings that higher-ups at Disney are unhappy with the way they've treated the license (particularly the lootbox/microtransactions controversy), and now it's looking as if they might take the license back in-house.

New Trick Helps You Switch Between Weapons Faster In Apex Legends

You're sprinting through Skull Town in Apex Legends in pursuit of your opponents. Someone pops out from behind a building and you calmly headshot them, another tries to snipe you from a rooftop and you dispatch them with a precise burst of power. Things are going great! You're climbing the scoreboard! You feel invincible! Mad with power and bloodlust you run into a building only to find a rival team hunkering down. You smile and aim down the sights *click*. Oh no, you forgot to reload! You try to swap to another weapon but it takes too long - and you're greeted with a hail of bullets - now you're crawling around on the ground needing a medic. How embarrassing. But this situation might have been have been avoided if you knew this one simple trick to swap weapons faster.
