Karen Gillan Had The Perfect Reaction To James Gunn Returning For Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3
Karen Gillan has done very well in the MCU. In the original script for Guardians of the Galaxy Nebula was supposed to be killed, but Gillan impressed James Gunn so much in her audition that he substantially expanded the role, rethought Nebula's potential and made her relationship with Gamora one of the key emotional centres of the franchise. The character then made it into Infinity War, surviving Thanos' Snap and looking as if she's going to play a key role in Avengers: Endgame.

Netflix Finally Removes The Train Disaster Footage From Bird Box
Netflix's Bird Box was a big hit for the company over Christmas and New Year's, picking up rave reviews, terrifying audiences and even launching the hilarious Bird Box challenge fad. But one aspect of the movie that was decidedly not cool was the film using footage of the 2013 Lac-Mégantic rail disaster (which caused the death of 47 people) to illustrate the chaos of society breaking down.

Marvel Never Considered Any Replacement Directors For Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3
The first reaction to the news back in July 2018 that James Gunn had been fired from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was a howl of despair. After all, the first two Guardians of the Galaxy movies had his fingerprints all over them, with him using the heroes to tell what seemed to be pretty personal stories. But while I might have thought it was a bad decision, it seemed like we should at least start thinking about who could fill Gunn's boots. Taika Waititi was the front-runner for a long time before ruling himself out, followed by some talk of Anchorman director Adam McKay filling the role, and there was also some talk that Marvel Studios were looking for a woman to take the job.

Marvel Fans Rejoice After James Gunn Rehired As Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 Director
The Guardians of the Galaxy are back, baby! Most had assumed that James Gunn's involvement with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 had come to an end after Disney fired him for some off-color tweets made over a decade ago. Then he accepted the director's chair for rival studio Warner Bros' Suicide Squad 2, which for fans seemed like the final chapter to the story. After all, if Disney even ever was thinking of hiring him back, they probably wouldn't if he was tied up with another movie.

Apex Legends hasn't been out for long, but the millions of players who've fallen for the game have fallen pretty damn hard. Countless hours have been put into the game since launch, with every corner of the map scoured, Easter Eggs discovered and every little intricacy appreciated. It's gotten to the point where some are getting hungry for new content - which fortunately is set to arrive in the form of new Legend 'Octane'. We've had multiple leaks about this character, but now it seems players have an opportunity to try out his Ultimate Ability for themselves.

The New Avengers: Endgame Trailer Clears Up A Big Fan Debate
It's difficult to believe that in just over a month's time we'll be settling our butts into a comfy multiplex seat to enjoy Avengers: Endgame. The movie is the finale of more than ten years of MCU plotlines and promises to shake up the universe in a way never before seen. Judging from the new trailer released today, the Russo Brothers are eager not to put too many spoilers out there about what's to come: large portions of this trailer are old footage and what new stuff we see is so out of context it's difficult to work out the plot. But there is one shot that at least clears up whether Nebula and Tony Stark die alone in the cold vacuum of space.

Alt-Right Activist Claims Stan Lee Would Disapprove Of Captain Marvel
If we had to report every time some right-wing guy on Twitter said something moronic we'd be here all day, but sometimes someone says something so jaw-droppingly vapid that you have to sit up and pay attention. Said someone today is a professional troll and Pizzagate conspiracy theorist Jack Posobiec, who after seeing Captain Marvel, tweeted: "Imagine if Stan Lee saw what they've turned the MCU into..." - with the presumed implication that he'd be absolutely horrified that they'd put out a movie about a female superhero.

Rare Star Wars Photo Of Darth Vader Without His Cape Reveals Something Interesting
It's difficult to think of any characters in cinema more iconic than Darth Vader. Everything about him kicks ass, from his 'evil space samurai' skull-faced helmet, to his booming voice to the way he dominates pretty much every scene he's in. One element that the character is never without is his menacing black cape, which manages to make him look even more inhuman than he already does. I actually can't think of many examples across Star Wars media that have him capeless - he's even wearing it the very moment he awakens in Revenge of the Sith.
