Taika Waititi Doesn’t Know If He’s Keeping Fat Thor For Love And Thunder
I wrote many preview pieces about every known aspect of Avengers: Endgame prior to its release, but the appearance of the new Bro Thor in the film came as a surprise to me, and a hilarious one at that. Marvel Studios and the Russo brothers did a nice job of keeping his new look under wraps and Chris Hemsworth was clearly having a great time as this new Lebowski-esque Thor. The fact that he remained fat right the way through the final battle was a smart decision, too. We already know that the hero will return in Thor: Love and Thunder, but will he keep his hit new physique?

Sam Raimi Has Chosen A Director For The Next Evil Dead Movie
What's next for the Evil Dead franchise? Well, lately, most of the news has concerned what isn't going to happen: namely that Bruce Campbell won't be returning to play Ash Williams anytime soon. With Ash vs. Evil Dead having been cancelled, he explained that he thought the part deserved a level of physical slapstick comedy that he just couldn't commit to anymore, and though it seems he's going to voice Ash in an upcoming video game, he won't be appearing in any future Evil Dead movies.

Chicken Run 2 Now In Development At Aardman Animations
2000's Chicken Run was a global smash for British stop motion geniuses Aardman Animations. The tale of a cocky, uh, cock and a flock of freedom hungry hens proved to be box office gold, grossing $225 million. Nearly two decades have passed since its release but in April 2018, Aardman announced that they were planning on making a Chicken Run 2.

New Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker Photo May Reveal First Look At Matt Smith
Fans have many questions about what's going to happen in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. One of them is whether Matt Smith is really going to be in the movie. Last August, it was reported that Doctor Who star Matt Smith was joining the cast of the movie in a "key role", with many assuming that he'd be playing some kind of First Order officer or major antagonist. Then things got murky. Smith began to shut down stories that said he was in the movie back in April, and his name was soon followed by his name being removed from Rise‘s cast list on Disney’s official UK site.

Warner Bros. Now Eyeing Seth Rogen For Penguin In The Batman
Casting news for The Batman has been coming in thick and fast over the last few weeks. The long-delayed project is finally going before the cameras in early 2020 and we've recently heard that Zoe Kravitz's Catwoman and Jeffrey Wright's Commission Gordon will be joining Robert Pattinson's Batman, as well as authoritative reports telling us that Jonah Hill was all but locked in to play either the Riddler or Penguin.

Jonah Hill Drops Out Of Matt Reeves’ The Batman
In late September, it was widely reported that Jonah Hill had been offered either the role of the Riddler or the Penguin in Matt Reeves' The Batman. This came hot on the heels of a bunch of casting news for the film, including that Jeffrey Wright would be playing Commissioner Gordon and was followed by the announcement that Zoe Kravitz was our new Catwoman. But while the latter two are now locked in, it seems that they couldn't nail down Jonah Hill, as Deadline is reporting that he's no longer involved with the project.

Edge Of Tomorrow 2 Script Now Complete And Ready To Shoot
Edge of Tomorrow is a really under-rated movie. It's got giant mechs fighting monsters, a bizarre Groundhog-day a like plot, one of Bill Paxton's final roles and Tom Cruise pulling some exceptionally silly faces. The only flaw is its dull as ditchwater title, which was changed at the last minute from the excellent 'Live. Die. Repeat' (and then there's the even cooler original title 'All You Need Is Kill'). Anyhow, the film was released to a relatively warm critical reception, but didn't exactly set the box office on fire, making $370m on a budget of $178m. So not a flop, but not great either. That's why I'm so pleased that Edge of Tomorrow 2 appears to be heading into production.

Terminator: Dark Fate Has Officially Been Rated R
I still can't quite bring myself to be optimistic about Terminator: Dark Fate. As much affection as I have for the franchise, I've been burned too many times. Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines was merely average (though it had a cool ending), Terminator: Salvation had a nonsensical plot and Terminator: Genisys? Eesh. Let's just say I'll wait for the reviews before I buy my ticket for opening night.
