The Internet Reacts To Jodie Whittaker’s Doctor Who Debut
It's been one hell of a long wait but Doctor Who is back and, judging by the season premiere The Woman Who Fell to Earth, in fine form. I got together with a bunch of friends at my apartment to watch it together and everyone loved it, even people not that familiar with the series. Jodie Whittaker's 13th Doctor was convincing as the Doctor from minute one, new showrunner Chris Chibnall has slightly remixed the look and pace of the show, and I absolutely loved Segun Akinola's new score for the show by Segun Akinola (I will always have a soft spot for Murray Gold, but he had gotten a little samey by the end). Maybe the monster-of-the-week was a bit bland (it was basically a Predator), but I guess that just helps keep the focus on the still-regenerating Doctor.

Leaked Avengers 4 Concept Art Reveals Iron Man’s New Suit
There are two things in the MCU that must change with every film. One is Black Widow's hairdo and the other is Tony Stark's Iron Man suit. Ever since the Mark I blasted out of that cave in Iron Man he's been refining the design until we got the Mark L nanotechnology variant in Avengers: Infinity War that was so powerful it let him go toe to toe with Thanos for a while. If this art proves to be genuine then it seems like Avengers 4 will show the continuation of this design. Check out the image below:

Will Any Major MCU Roles Be Recast After Avengers 4?
With Chris Evans apparently bidding farewell to Steve Rogers/Captain America earlier this week, it sounds as though we're seeing the end of an era for the MCU. As Evans explained on Good Morning America, “The contract is done. A lot of our contracts are through," referring to the fact that his multi-film contract is fulfilled with Avengers 4, together with Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Hemsworth.

What The Friday The 13th Judgment Means For The Video Game
Last week the long-running lawsuit in which Friday the 13th screenwriter Victor Miller contended that he was entitled to the rights to ideas, settings and characters contained in his script for the 1980 classic came to an end with a judge ruling in his favor. Current rights holders Horror Inc weren't best pleased with the result, explaining that they were planning to appeal it and that in any event they were planning to develop new projects based on concepts from the rest of the franchise (the status of Jason in all this was left vague).

The Batman Star Ben Affleck Opens Up On His Rehab Treatment
The Batman star Ben Affleck hasn't had the best 2019. Despite landing what he considered a dream role in the Caped Crusader, he's had to contend with constant rumors that Warner Bros. are going to recast the part, intrusive paparazzi documenting the groceries being delivered to his home, his alcohol addiction worsening, his ex-wife Jennifer Garner staging an intervention and finally, an extended treatment for addiction.
