Solo: A Star Wars Story Expanded Edition Trailer Teases A Deleted Scene
Solo: A Star Wars Story Expanded Edition is shaping up to be a cut above your average tie-in novelization. Perhaps stinging from the movie's muted reception from both critics and audiences, Disney and Lucasfilm may be set on retroactively rehabilitating its reputation with a novel that seems to promise the 'full' story. At any rate, it's the first time I've seen a proper trailer for a film's novelization, which has now been released in advance of its September 4th publication (which itself seems a little late).

Star Wars: Episode IX Searching For A Younger Charlize Theron
In what's got to be a bit of a blow for Charlize Theron, Star Wars: Episode IX has reportedly put out a casting call searching for an actress described as "a younger Charlize Theron with street smarts and a sharp wit," somewhere between 25 and 27 years of age of any ethnicity and who must have "a good sense of humor, solid comedic timing and a strong voice." Word is this new character's named Karina and given that the First Order has not been previously known for its members' comedic timing, it's safe to say she's on the side of the heroes.

Gorgeous Avengers 4 Fan Poster Gives Cap A Perfect Goodbye
Steve Rogers has had a hard life. Being turned from a 90lb weakling into a super-soldier may have made him physically stronger, but the process didn't exactly improve his lot in life. Over the course of the MCU he spent decades frozen solid before being revived into the chaotic modern MCU. His time in the present day has seen him continually fighting - saving the world from alien invasion, and being hunted by the government after the events of The Winter Soldier and Civil War. Come Infinity War he's essentially an outlaw and known as a war criminal, all for doing what he feels is right. Oh well, at least he found the time to grow an awesome beard.

Wesley Snipes Hints That He May Be Returning As Blade In The MCU
With last week marking the 20th anniversary of Blade, many people (including myself) rewatched the film. After seeing it, I came to two conclusions. The first is that Blade is an absolutely incredible movie and is arguably the first modern superhero pic, acting as almost a prototype of what would become the MCU style of comic book adaptation. The second is that - damn - I really miss Wesley Snipes as the vampire hunter.

Todd McFarlane's Spawn is shaping up to be quite the project. Not only has the comic book creator stepped up to the plate to direct his own property, but he snagged Jamie Foxx for the title role, Jeremy Renner as a lead, and the film now boasts one of the best practical visual effects guys in the business: Greg Nicotero. Fans of The Walking Dead and Fear The Walking Dead will be very familiar with his take on the rotting, shambling walkers, as under his direction, the shows have continually concocted new and disgusting ideas on what a zombie can be.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix Star Shows Off Comic-Accurate Nightcrawler Costume
Back in 2000, one of the most commented on aspects of Bryan Singer's X-Men was the costuming. In what proved to be a pretty sensible move, the film ditched the primary colored superhero suits seen in the comics and cartoons in favor of a more plausible looking leather jumpsuit. Cyclops even referenced the choice of costume during the film, responding to Wolverine's snarky, "you go outside in these things?" with "what would you prefer, yellow spandex?"

It Sounds Like Disney Will Be Making Elsa Gay For Frozen 2
Elsa's going to become the first gay Disney Princess if these rumors we're hearing about the plot of Frozen 2 pan out. According to Revenge of the Fans, a couple of very reliable sources are reporting that Disney and the film's creative team are about to confirm once and for all that Elsa's a lesbian. On top of that, it seems as though she's set to get her own love interest, apparently to be voiced by LGBTQ actor Evan Rachel Wood.
