After a sterling first solo outing in the MCU with Spider-Man: Homecoming, Tom Holland's webslinger is next scheduled to do battle alongside Marvel's greatest heroes in Avengers: Infinity War. It sounds as if he's going to swing out of that apocalypse relatively unscathed as well, as Marvel and Sony have already confirmed that we're going to see a Spider-Man: Homecoming 2. Not only that, but the sequel may also herald the return of a villain from the first film.
Could we see the long-awaited Avengers: Infinity War trailer as soon as tomorrow night? That's what the rumor mill is rumbling about, with speculation from multiple sources saying that Marvel is desperate to bolster the viewing figures for Inhumans by either attaching their most anticipated trailer to the first episode or, alternatively, premiering the preview shortly after, on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
The announcement of the Hellboy reboot must have been a bitter pill for Ron Perlman to swallow. He's never missed an opportunity to say how much he loved playing the character and from all accounts, is a genuine fan of Mike Mignola's comics.
Everything we've seen so far of the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok has looked amazing - from the witty and exciting trailers to the expertly designed one-sheets. Hell, even Hulk's bed looks cool as hell. Now, you can add another heap of awesome to the pile with this international trailer for the film aimed at the Japanese market.
Last night, Warner Bros. held an industry event at which they showed some footage from Justice League, accompanied by a speech from DCEU Exec Producer Geoff Johns. The hotly anticipated film is currently going through a series of test-screenings, which are heavily embargoed and what details we have are currently unconfirmed, but according to Johns, those who've seen the film say that Ezra Miller's take on the Scarlett Speedster is the best thing in the movie.
Now that we're just about recovered from our post Game of Thrones season 7 hangover, HBO is keeping us engaged with a seven-part behind the scenes series titled The Game Revealed. The idea is that we'll see interviews with cast and crew that'll shed some light on how the most striking moments from the season came together.
In just over a year's time, we'll be settling in to watch the blank-faced Michael square off against Jamie Lee Curtis' Laurie Strode for the sixth and apparently final time. When the film releases, it'll be the fortieth anniversary of John Carpenter's iconic Halloween, which redefined the horror genre and set out the tone and rhythm that we still see in movies to this day.
The BBC generally keep Doctor Who spoilers locked up tight as a drum. Almost nobody saw Jodie Whittaker's casting coming, with most people having grudgingly accepted that gangly goof Kris Marshall was a shoe-in. Since then, the prospect of the first woman Doctor has blown some life into a show that has seen ratings gradually declining over the last few seasons. So, no doubt the Doctor Who team will be absolutely steaming now that BBC America has inadvertently leaked a synopsis of the highly anticipated Christmas special, Twice Upon A Time.
On Friday, we wrote about a rather lacklustre bit of advertising for Justice League. Sure, it was nice to see Wonder Woman front and centre, but the actual design is pretty low effort. Surely given that the DCEU's future could rest on the film being a hit, they might put a teeny bit more effort into their marketing rather than just half-assedly cutting and pasting promo shots together. Now, as is becoming somewhat familiar, a fan has stepped in to show Warner Bros. how it's done.
