Robert Rodriguez has an intriguingly split career. On one hand, he's notorious for his balls-to-the-wall grindhouse capers like Desperado, Sin City and Machete. On the other, he's made bank with the Spy Kids trilogy, popular children's films released in the early 2000s. Lately, he's been tending towards the more bloody end of the spectrum, but perhaps he's swinging back towards family friendly, as it's just been announced that he's to direct Ugly Dolls.

The Game Continues In Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle, And It Sounds Awesome
Jumanji was one of the surprise hits of 1995, combining cutting-edge CGI special effects and the inestimable Robin Williams into a wonderfully adventurous whole. Not to mention that the core idea of a magical board game that begins to affect the real world is brilliantly imaginative. A sequel, Zathura, was released in 2005, though now it's primarily known as the gig that proved to Marvel that John Favreau was the man to helm Iron Man and birth the MCU. Now Jumanji is back, in Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.

Venom Movie Not Connected To MCU, Confirms Spider-Man Homecoming Director
If you're a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Sony allowing Marvel to use Spider-Man in their films was a major cause for celebration. Spidey is such a crucial part of the Marvel Universe that his absence was sorely felt, not to mention that Tom Holland instantly made the part his own in Captain America: Civil War. Now, with Spider-Man: Homecoming imminent (check out the amazing new trailer here) and a Venom movie being planned, you might expect that this iconic Spider-Man villain would be a part of the MCU. Natalie Portman To Go Rodeo In Bronco Belle, Described As “Rocky On A Bull”
Natalie Portman and director Anna Rose Holmer (The Fits) appear to have hit it off. Last week, we saw them collaborate on the music video for the James Blake song "My Willing Heart," a black and white short as beautiful as it is touching, showing a heavily pregnant Portman connecting with her unborn child in some downright amazing underwater photography. Now, after giving birth on February 22nd, she's already back in the saddle to play the lead in Holmer's next production, Bronco Belle, summarized as "Rocky on a bull."

Get A Sneak Peek At Tomorrow’s It Trailer
It is coming. Apart from a couple of production stills, we still haven't seen too much of director Andrés Muschietti's fresh adaptation of the Stephen King classic, but now, to whet our appetites for tomorrow's full trailer, a sneak peek has been released. The clip, seen above, sends us spiralling down a sewer tunnel as children worriedly chat to each other about the sinister clown they've been seeing around town. It's also punctuated with the iconically creepy line, "we all float down here."

The White Princess Review
History is the story of men: an unending chronological spiral of Kings, Emperors, Chieftans and Pharoahs all hellbent on spilling their rivals' blood. This focus is understandable enough, but Phillipa Gregory, in her series of novels The Cousin's War, shines light on the women behind the famous men: the various queens, dowagers and princesses who have their own vicious battles to fight.

This Fan Edit Of The End Of Rogue One And The Start Of A New Hope Is Amazing
Gareth Edwards famously paid attention to George Lucas' 70s science-fiction aesthetic when making Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, with the climactic scenes aboard the Rebel Blockade Runner eerily reminiscent of the classic opening of 1977's A New Hope. In fact, the prequel ends precisely where Lucas began, with Vader in hot pursuit of Princess Leia as she desperately tries to escape with the Death Star plans.
