The upcoming online shooter allows for players to choose skills for their character to fit various roles, such as a group medic to support your squad or a tank to draw and soak up enemy fire.
EA started out with a surprise revealing Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare, a third person shooter by Popcap. Yes, you read that correctly a Plants Vs. Zombies action game. The playful title still has much of Plants Vs. Zombies playfulness and charm with afro zombies swinging disco balls and a very colorful style. Up to four players will work together to survive waves of the undead. The game will launch for Xbox 360 then Xbox One sometime later this year.

Potential spies take note as SpyParty has officially begun its open beta. The indie game has been in development for the past three years and was conceptualized and developed by Chris Hecker, a long time programming veteran in the video game industry. Players looking to gain access to the beta have to pay a fee of fifteen dollars which will also entitle them to a copy of the game when it is ultimately released.

The remake of the classic NES game was announced at this year’s PAX East and is being developed by WayForward, with a release date sometime later this summer in glorious high definition.
Fans of the Monster Hunter series can rejoice as the latest entry in the series, Monster Hunter 4, will be released on September 14th in Japan. While Capcom hasn’t stated plans for a North American release, they did reveal two limited editions that come with exclusive 3DS XLs, so diehard players could potentially just import the game. The release date was also coupled with a brand new gameplay trailer showcasing the many giant beasts players will face along with some new weapon types.
Double Fine has announced a brand new Kickstarter for a strategy game called MASSIVE CHALICE. The newly revealed project is said to be inspired by various tactics games like Fire Emblem and XCOM where units do combat on a grid system, like a more awesome version of chess. In the game, players will take control of an immortal ruler who has to command their kingdom and establish bloodlines, using their starting pool of heroes to create future characters.
