If you're a regular on the convention circuit, then you know which characters are favored over others when it comes to cosplay. In the case of female icons, one has often seen the likes of Harley Quinn, Black Widow, Poison Ivy, Captain Marvel and Wonder Woman in recent years. Still, there are those who remain favorites but aren't as prevalent because they haven't had much mainstream exposure, namely Domino.
Ever since the midseason finale of Supernatural concluded, we the fans have been kind of left in the dark as to where the series would go next. Sure, we knew that a backdoor pilot for the Wayward Sisters spinoff was next on the agenda, but all promo videos being circulated were very, very vague to say the least.
While we’re all awaiting the awesomeness that’s sure to be Batman: Gotham by Gaslight, it certainly never hurts to look ahead at whatever other DC animated movies the fine folks over at Warner Bros. Animation are cooking up. After all, this line of films has a reputation for having far more hits than misses.
After being left disappointed by the first few episodes in the current season of The Flash, I'm glad to say that I'm starting to feel as glued to my TV set as I was back in seasons 1 and 2. After thinking the producers wouldn't be able to top the shocking midseason finale, I was quite pleased to see them continue leaving us in a state of disbelief after viewing last night's "The Trial of the Flash."
When IT was originally announced to receive a silver screen adaptation, we’re sure that despite any excitement shared by fans of Stephen King’s original novel and the television miniseries, none of us could’ve predicted what a box office juggernaut it’d become. Seriously, the dough that it raked in was pretty much unheard of for horror movies, a feat normally reserved for summertime blockbusters and action flicks.
In some parallel universe, Warner Bros. decided to carry on Christopher Nolan's vision of Gotham City after The Dark Knight Trilogy concluded. As you may remember, Bruce Wayne faked his death and passed the legacy of the Batman on to Robin John Blake. Of course, there was word on the street that actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt was being looked at for the next Caped Crusader at the time, but considering that the studio was all for a team-up with Superman, it's for the best that the World's Finest's first meeting in live action involved Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne, not the latter's successor created for an isolated trilogy.
Sometimes, you really have to love advance promotional material. What some may view as being seemingly innocuous photos may be more telling than one could ever realize. And since this is how we've begun today's conversation, you can probably imagine that some major beans are about to be spilled when it comes to Arrow, so proceed at your own risk.
Even though we finally received the first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War a couple months back, it stands to reason that each and every one of us are dying to see more teasers before the big team-up flick storms cinemas. Of course, we’re likely to see another full trailer or two before opening weekend arrives, but the interim is starting to heat up, with a Marvel Cinematic Universe recap video and international trailer already surfacing in this still young week.
After what felt like an eternity, Supergirl has finally returned from its winter hiatus. Sure, it'll be forced into hibernation again in a matter of weeks, but let's just enjoy seeing the Girl of Steel while we can, shall we?
As much as I loved the original run of the Saw film franchise - for the most part - it was impossible to deny that Lionsgate simply burnt out moviegoers by releasing one flick per year over the span of seven, or that the series collapsed under its own weight with the haphazardly put together Saw: The Final Chapter, an entry that confounds me to this day.
