With this being the fourth consecutive year that The CW will be going ahead with a DC TV crossover, it's only expected that they go for the "bigger and better" approach. After all, it's not just Arrow and The Flash participating in this monumental mashup, as we also have Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl in the mix.
When Matt Ryan debuted on NBC’s live action Constantine series a few years back, most fans were in agreement that the producers had found the best live action Hellblazer possible. Unfortunately, the network didn’t think ratings were up to snuff and cancelled the show after only 13 episodes. On the plus side, Ryan has since continued playing the character in various other projects, those being Arrow, Justice League Dark and an animated web series slated for release via the CW Seed online streaming service (see the above trailer).
Even though the season premiere of Arrow has yet to air, The CW has opted to treat us with images culled from beyond the returning episode. Truth be told, this practice isn't unheard of, as networks don't mind circulating advance photos as long as they aren't too spoiler-ish. That said, what we have to examine today isn't going to ruin any possible surprises for you, but what these pics will do is succeed in getting you all the more excited for the next chapter in Oliver Queen's enduring crusade.
Being someone who's been looking forward to seeing a Justice League movie for years, I had a shortlist of villains that I expected to serve as the primary antagonist whenever my favorite superheroes eventually teamed up on the big screen for the first time. Obviously, the usual suspects consisted of heavy hitters like Darkseid, Brainiac and the Crime Syndicate. So, you could imagine my shock upon hearing that Zack Snyder settled on Steppenwolf.
Love him or hate him, you have to acknowledge that every superhero you admire today owes their existence to the Man of Steel - and it all started back in 1938 with the release of Action Comics #1. In those pages, we saw the debut of Superman, who soon went on to completely take over that title and headline an ongoing series of his own.
Over the years, there have been a variety of talented actors to portray the Joker in both live action and animation. And while there are those who've appreciated the performances brought to the table by the likes of Jack Nicholson, Heath Ledger and Cameron Monaghan, many diehard fans actually favor Mark Hamill, who, believe it or not, has been attached to the character for about a quarter century now.
Even though it's always much appreciated whenever we receive high resolution images or a round of posters in support of the next blockbuster movie, it's undoubtedly the trailers that have everyone talking most. After all, what better way to pass the time while waiting for the big screen debut of the Justice League than with a generous amount of new footage?
Lately, it seems like we can't wake up without being treated to new Justice League goodies. After all, not only is the theatrical release just over a month away, but we also have the final trailer to look forward to this Sunday. But, in the interim, we have more than just the folks in Warner Bros.' marketing department to help tide us over.
With Marvel Studios' final offering for 2017, Thor: Ragnarok, now being within reaching distance, it seems like we're being given new treats by the day. Just this week, we were granted a new featurette, a promo and a few other goodies, with that generous trend continuing today in the form of a freshly revealed international poster.
Even though I probably wouldn't count him as being among my favorite mutants, I can't help but be intrigued by the prospect of a Gambit movie. After all, if you were also a kid growing up in the 1990's, then you no doubt remember how he was a prominent member of the team in not only the comic books, but in the highly revered X-Men: The Animated Series as well.
