Hitman: Absolution – Only 20 Percent Will Complete Their Contract
Difficulty runs alongside stealth in terms of the defining features of the Hitman series. So the prediction that many players will be unable to finish Hitman: Absolution doesn't come as too much of a surprise. However, the 20 percent completion rate is, according to the projects director Tore Blystad, "not because they lack the skill, but simply because that's what cold, calculated metrics tell [us]".

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier PC Plagued With Issues

Rumour: Total War: Rome 2 Announcement Approaching
For many, Rome: Total War has defended its position as the best title in the franchise since its release in 2004. Dishonored’s Protagonist Is A Man With No Past
With information coming thick and fast in order to try and feed the expectations surrounding Arkane Studios' anticipated action game Dishonored, it was inevitable that some of it would disappoint. The game itself may be set in a Steampunk, revisionist Victorian London, but the protagonist Corvo Atano has a far less interesting history.

Team Fortress 2 Reignited With ‘Pyromania’ Update
Unlike the character that is soon to be honoured, the upcoming release of Valve's long-awaited 'Meet the Pyro' video is not going to occur amidst mere mumbling. Team Fortress 2 has a constant stream of content but, the majority of the time, it comes in the form of hats. However, a few non-hatted additions to the game will be progressively rolled out over the next three days, and they have been deemed the 'Pyromania' update.

Scrolls – Closed Alpha Soon To Be Unfurled
Scrolls, the collectible card game that will serve as Mojang's follow up to the absurdly popular Minecraft, looks unlikely to be as succesful as its predecessor. Not through any fault of its own, but purely due to the fact that Minecraft not only caught lightning in a bottle but allowed you to craft the bottle yourself. Regardless, the team's second game may not be following the indie sensation in genre, theme or aesthetic - but alongside the announcement of its recent progress comes the news that it will follow a similar "paid beta" pricing model.

Criterion Behind The Wheel Of The Entire Need For Speed Franchise
The announcement that Criterion Games would be donning the driving gloves for EA's Need for Speed: Most Wanted was unsurprising but reassuring. The team are experienced, and have some of the finest driving games already lining their trophy cabinet. Now it has been revealed that their relationship with the series has become far more involved than developing the occasional game, they are now the driving force behind the entire franchise.

Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut DLC Dated
Mass Effect 3 may have surprised everyone with its refined multiplayer, but it also brought the highly-acclaimed series to an inglorious close. Bioware's announcement of the Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut to address this controversial ending had an equally mixed response, and now we know exactly when this no doubt debate-inducing DLC is due.

Homefront 2 Is Being Developed In Isolation
Released last year to much anticipation followed by an awful lot of dissapointment, Homefront was unfortunately the death-toll for Kaos Studios. However, THQ didn't want the IP to die with them, and since then development has been handed over to the experienced hands of Crytek. With the recent restructuring of THQ, new fears over the security of the series have been raised.
