Kane Hodder is arguably the actor with the closest connection to Jason Voorhees, having played the character four times in the Friday the 13th series, while also lending his voice to the recent video game adaptation of the franchise. Furthermore, Hodder isn't shy about giving his opinion about the property and reprising his iconic performances for fan conventions. In this context, it was surprising then that he was dropped from the part for Ronny Yu's Freddy vs. Jason in 2003. A set of explanations have now been collected over on Screen Rant though as to why Hodder was cut from the movie.

In the most recent interview with the actor, he talked about his disappointment with how the show handled his departure, and how they made the case personal. One of the key elements to Jones' criticism was how he clashed with the series' producers over their representation of race, something that production company Fremantle have now come out to deny.

The details of the planned Titans season 1 finale have gradually been emerging in recent weeks, including how a fight with Trigon would have been handled, and an appearance by the Doom Patrol. As it turned out, much of what was intended for the end of season 1 was repurposed for season 2, including a much earlier reveal of Dick Grayson becoming Nightwing. This reveal is teased in an image shared to Facebook by production member Larnell Stovall, and shows how the original plan for the finale was to introduce Nightwing in a post-credit sequence.
We don't have too long to wait for the next season of Doctor Who, which returns from its long break in January 2020. Since the launch of the new trailer last week, available above, we've heard about the producers' ambitions for season 12 to top season 11, as well as some clues about old monsters and changes to the TARDIS. In terms of the future of the BBC series, however, the network is reportedly thinking about casting a black female actress as the next Doctor.
Crossovers between different eras of Star Trek have long been a popular strategy for the franchise, with time travel and parallel dimensions affording many opportunities to create team-ups. And now, according to our sources - the same ones who said Ewan McGregor would return as Obi-Wan in a Disney Plus show, and that a Scream reboot was in development, both of which have since been confirmed - Star Trek: Picard and Star Trek: Discovery may well overlap at some point in the future, with time travel as the reason that Picard gets to interact with the crew of the Discovery.
The long-awaited Wonder Woman 1984 has finally released its first teaser trailer in anticipation of the full preview coming tomorrow. The Gal Gadot-starring movie sees Diana Prince get caught up with the Soviet Union during the 1980s, whilst taking on Kristen Wiig's Cheetah and Pedro Pascal's Maxwell Lord. And although it ostensibly acts to set up Sunday's trailer, the teaser released today does still give us a decent sense of what to expect from the movie.
Of Stephen King's recent books, The Outsider is notable for its blending of traditional Kingian horror with the mystery elements of his love of detective fiction. The novel was only released in 2018, but is already heading to HBO in January as an adaptation starring Ben Mendelsohn and Jason Bateman. HBO have now released the first full trailer for the 10-episode series, which you can catch above, providing an intriguing look at a series that will presumably exploit pay cable's content freedoms to bring The Outsider's gruesome story to life.
