Although the future role of Ant-Man and the Wasp as characters in the MCU is currently a bit up in the air, it's likely we'll still see the characters and plots in future movies. Hannah John-Kamen, who played Ghost in Ant-Man and the Wasp, is certainly not ruling out a return for her character in new franchise entries. According to an interview with Yahoo! Movies in the UK, John-Kamen still has a contract with Marvel that gives them the option to re-use Ghost.
It: Chapter Two is just around the corner, and still heavily anticipated despite some mixed early reviews on how the movie concludes its adaptation of Stephen King's classic novel. This may not be the end of the Muschietti siblings' involvement with the property, though, as Andy Muschietti is apparently keen on making It: Chapter Three. While this seems like a strange ambition, given how the book and presumably the film will end, apparently Muschietti sees some options for making this happen.
One of the more significant mysteries in Star Trek: Discovery was where the USS Enterprise traveled to before being found in season 2. The introduction of the Enterprise crew, including Mr. Spock and Commander Pike, proved crucial to events in the sophomore season of the show, but up to now we didn't get much from the series about what took place before their meeting with the USS Discovery. A new novel, however, titled Star Trek: Discovery - The Enterprise War, has finally revealed the backstory to the Enterprise's mission.
The sixth season of The Flash is just around the corner, and with Arrow coming to an end this year, it will soon become the oldest series in the Arrowverse (Flashverse?). Before that happens, though, Warner Bros. are set to release season 5 on Blu-ray and DVD tomorrow and are celebrating the launch with a deleted scene from the boxset. The scene comes from episode four of the season, "All Doll'd Up," wherein Central City is terrorized by Rag Doll, an especially creepy villain able to manipulate his body into tight spaces.
Part of a series of projects that writer-director Max Landis has been attached to, a remake of his father's An American Werewolf in London now seems to be off the table, according to ScreenRant. Landis had been involved with the pic for several years, but development had been stalled by multiple accusations of sexual assault against the writer of, among others, Chronicle, American Ultra and Bright. According to reports, Landis' upcoming screenplays, including Shadow in the Cloud, will likely continue without his direct input due to his significantly damaged reputation in Hollywood.
The trailer for Disney Plus's The Mandalorian, which you can catch up with above, shows off a rich cast of characters for the streaming series. From early promotions, The Mandalorian will look at a different side of the Star Wars universe in the time between the Original Trilogy and the latest movies in the saga, while also potentially referencing some familiar elements of the series. Some new photos collated by ComicBook.com highlight the role of several of the series' major players and what we know about them so far.
It's fair to say that The Mandalorian has us very excited, with the trailer from D23, which you can see above, showcasing an epic expansion of the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian will be one of the key elements in the upcoming Disney Plus streaming service, and buzz is strong enough about the series that it has already been renewed for a second season. As fans digest the trailer, theories are starting to emerge about what some of the footage might mean in terms of bringing back characters or settings. One theory made by EpicStream is that The Mandalorian trailer hinted at Jabba the Hutt being part of the series, or at least the Hutts.
One of the more notable announcements from D23 is that Marvel will be bringing a Moon Knight TV series to Disney Plus. Confirming news that we previously broke about the show being in development, Moon Knight delivers one of the more gritty Marvel characters to the screen in Marc Spector, a mercenary with multiple personalities who becomes an avatar for the Egyptian God Khonshu and uses his powers to fight crime.
It's been revealed at D23 that Kat Dennings will be returning to the MCU in the upcoming Disney Plus series WandaVision. Denning will reprise her role as Darcy Lewis from Thor and Thor: The Dark World, who assists Natalie Portman's Jane Foster while gradually taking on more responsibility as a character. We've already seen some glimpses of WandaVision from D23, courtesy of a recently leaked Phase 4 trailer, as well as other exciting announcements about Ms. Marvel and Moon Knight TV shows for the new streaming service.
