We don't have long to wait for American Horror Story: 1984, the slasher-themed ninth season of the FX series. Showrunner Ryan Murphy has a reputation for gradually teasing glimpses of his series via Instagram, and today has revealed more about the series through the opening titles sequence. American Horror Story consistently provides some of the most striking titles in television, and the new sequence shared by Murphy on Instagram does nothing to harm that achievement.
It's fair to say we're pretty excited for El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, the sequel to Breaking Bad and the continuation of Jesse Pinkman's story. Aaron Paul has already promised that fans will be very happy with the finished product when it drops on Netflix this October, while also hinting that we may see some familiar faces. And now, the actor's revealed via Instagram that an iconic outfit will make an appearance in the movie. Specifically, his yellow lab suit.
One of the most bizarre action movies of the 1990s (if not of all-time), John Woo's Face/Off sees Nicolas Cage and John Travolta swap identities and lose their grip on reality. It's now been reported by Deadline that Paramount Pictures are rebooting the 1997 thriller, with Oren Uziel behind the screenplay, Neal Moritz producing and David Permut executive producing. While there hasn't been any casting or directing news yet, it'll be difficult to see anyone topping the performances of Travolta and Cage in the original movie.
27 years ago today, Batman: The Animated Series launched on Fox Kids, beginning a run of 85 episodes that many still regard as one of the finest takes on the Dark Knight. Mark Hamill, who voiced the Joker on the series, and in many other adaptations, marked the occasion with a tribute to the animated show on his Twitter account, where he acknowledged the effect the part had on his career, which at the time combined Star Wars fame with steady theater work and character acting.
The Arrowverse's "Crisis on Infinite Earths" is shaping up to be an epic journey through the DC Multiverse, bringing in multiple versions of Superman and other familiar characters from the comics. Supergirl's resident Earth-38 Superman/Clark Kent, Tyler Hoechlin, has been an impressive supporting figure in the show over the last few years, but during a panel at Fan Expo Canada this past weekend, Hoechlin revealed that he initially believed he was going to be cast as Batman, rather than the Man of Steel.
The release of It: Chapter Two is only days away, and despite some mixed early reviews, the sequel promises to be one of the biggest movies of the year. The pic's been gearing up for its launch with several excellent trailers in recent weeks, the latest of which you can catch above, as well as more unusual rumored crossovers with Fortnite. Now, however, we have a series of character posters pairing the younger and older versions of the Losers' Club, with the former framed by Pennywise's balloons.
One of the surprises of Hobbs & Shaw this summer was a cameo appearance by Kevin Hart. The actor popped up in the Fast & Furious spin-off to help with Hobbs, Deckard, and Hattie's mission to stop Idris Elba's Brixton. Playing Federal Air Marshal Dinkley, Hart tries somewhat unsuccessfully to join the globetrotting team, and organizes a plane for their trip to Samoa. According to our sources, Hart will return for Hobbs & Shaw 2, and will have a more prominent role in the story.
