Well, it's official. Captain America: Civil War is now 2016's highest grossing superhero film. Marvel's Phase 3 flick is now sitting pretty at $940.8 million worldwide, putting it past both Deadpool ($762.4 million) and Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice ($868.8 million).
While The Joker will undoubtedly be the most exciting part of David Ayer's Suicide Squad, another character that looks to be a definite highlight is Harley Quinn, who's being brought to life by the beautiful Margot Robbie. Over the past several months, the actress' portrayal of the iconic character has been receiving a lot of attention, and in a recent interview, she spoke about why so many people seem to love Harley.
Though the film is still a few weeks away from release, it's no secret that X-Men: Apocalypse is a bit of a letdown. Critics haven't been too kind to it, and early buzz is mediocre at best. So, in order to get the franchise back on track, 20th Century Fox is going to have to do something different for the next instalment. And what better way to shake things up then by sending our favorite mutants into space?
Back when it became apparent that we would see two Quicksilvers on the big screen at the same time, fans delighted in claiming that Fox's decision to include the speedster in X-Men: Days of Future Past was little more than a petty response to Marvel including him in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Last night's episode of Legends of Tomorrow left all of our jaws on the floor when The CW series made the bold decision to kill off fan-favourite bad guy, Captain Cold. Embracing his new heroic persona, the character sacrificed himself to save the Atom and his best friend Heat Wave, and now the team has some real motivation to take down Vandal Savage next week.
While I think we can all agree that Jennifer Lawrence is awesome, there are many fans who aren't too happy with the fact that Mystique has become such a big part of the X-Men franchise. Portrayed as a villain in the original trilogy, she's taken on a far more heroic role as time has passed despite the end of X-Men: First Class teasing her transformation into a bad guy.
The bloodbath over at ABC continues tonight with news that Marvel's Most Wanted won't be moving forward. The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff would've focused on Bobbie Morse (Adrianne Palicki) and Lance Hunter (Nick Blood) as they go on the run with "a long list of enemies looking to claim the bounty on their heads."
We've known for a while now that Hugh Jackman will make an appearance as Wolverine in X-Men: Apocalypse, and it was the final trailer for the movie which confirmed that he'll appear in a sequence set in the Weapon X facility. However, based on comments from director Bryan Singer and writer and producer Simon Kinberg, it sounds like this version of the character is going to be in his Beserker Rage Weapon X persona from the comic book. Here's what the former had to say about that.
Though not terribly surprising, we're learning tonight that ABC has gone ahead and cancelled both Agent Carter and Castle. The writing had been on the wall for some time now for both shows, especially for Marvel's small-screen venture, which only lasted two seasons.
It's pretty obvious that Avengers: Infinity War is going to be crammed full of characters, but one rumour which remains unconfirmed is the fact that the Guardians of the Galaxy will be making an appearance. Considering their own history with Thanos, it's hard to imagine them not teaming up with Earth's Mightiest Heroes, but it still remains to be seen at this stage.
