It's been a very, very busy day for the Caped Crusader, with news hitting the web at an alarming rate. First off, the final piece of The Batman directing saga finally fell into place as we heard that Matt Reeves had apparently changed his mind, signing on to produce and helm the film after walking away from it last week. Striking while the iron was still hot, Warner Bros. then announced that they're developing a Nightwing movie with Chris McKay attached.
Though far from a bad show, Sherlock isn't quite the all-star that it used to be. That was particularly evident in its recently concluded fourth season, which debuted in January and was far from its strongest outing. Still, that hasn't stopped fans from calling for more and while BBC hasn't made any formal announcements yet in regards to what they plan to do with the series, it certainly isn't sounding too promising.
With The Batman currently without a director and Warner Bros. going back to the drawing board for The Flash, Aquaman is currently the only DC Comics adaptation definitely set to be released in 2018. That's not the best of news for the still very young DCEU, but on the plus side, pretty much everything we've heard about the movie sounds fantastic.
Things have been pretty quiet for Deadpool 2. The sequel to one of 2016's most successful films is currently trucking along in development but it hasn't been moving too quickly. We still don't know who's going to be cast in the supporting roles of Cable and Domino (though apparently it will blow our minds once we find out) and Fox hasn't even announced an official release date yet. With shooting set to get underway this summer though, we imagine the updates will start arriving quite frequently over the coming months and tonight, we have a pretty big one for you.
Last night's episode of The Flash featured the Fastest Man Alive and his friends paying a visit to Earth-2 to rescue Harrison Wells from Solovar and his ape army. However, now that he's been dealt with, Gorilla Grodd is hellbent on revenge and looking to invade his old home on Earth-1.
We recently learned that Fox had added a few extra minutes to Logan's runtime, a strong indication that a post-credits scene would feature in the movie's theatrical release. That was then followed by a report confirming the speculation, but things just took a very interesting turn.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is right around the corner now and that means the marketing campaign is really starting to take off. This week alone we've been treated to a new international poster and official image, and now, a pretty awesome theater standee has been spotted, which you can check out below.
The word 'reshoots' is enough to strike fear into the heart of any fan, no matter what project it's referring to. As we know all too well, studio meddling and interference has led to some very promising films being completely ruined, and while reshoots aren't always necessarily a bad thing, they do have a tendency to spell trouble. Then again, for big blockbusters, they're fairly standard and in the case of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which is scheduled to head back into production next month, we're pretty confident that there's nothing to worry about.
During The Clone Conspiracy, we learned that Ben Reilly cloned his creator Miles Warren/The Jackal as a way of punishing him for every evil deed he's committed over the years. After all, how better to make him suffer than leaving the villain to doubt whether or not he's actually real? Well, in today's The Amazing Spider-Man #24, the unleashed Carrion virus left the real Miles still standing and he then set out to get revenge on Ben.
During the events of Original Sin way back in 2014, Nick Fury whispered something in Thor's ear which led to him being deemed unworthy to lift Mjolnir. We never learned what that was, but with the former God of Thunder currently on the hunt for a new magic hammer to wield, it appears as if answers are finally right around the corner.
