The fact that Sleeping Dogs has been part of European PlayStation Plus subscribers' free Instant Game Collection has been an almost constant source of irritation for their North American counterparts since the game joined the service last March. While there are many discrepancies in Sony's premium service between the two regions, the lack of Square Enix's "under preforming" open-world title is often held up as the main example of the perceived slight against NA Plus members.
Noticeably missing from Activision's Call of Duty: Ghosts announcement/confirmation earlier this week was any mention of the title being developed for the Wii U. Over the last couple of weeks a controversy has been brewing over the character design and art style used in Vanillaware's 2D fantasy action RPG Dragon's Crown. This article blew up into a huge issue when Kamitani responded, and then it later settled down after he apologized for the "lighthearted joke".
Saying that you need to "expect the unexpected" when viewing a new trailer for a Suda 51 game is an understatement of monumental proportions. For example, never in a million years could I have guessed that the latest Killer is Dead trailer would feature the game's assassin protagonist, Mondo Zappa, traveling to the moon to combat the evil forces of a busty "certified blood-drawing nurse" (named Scarlett) who is flying around witch-style on a giant pink syringe.
Techland (the developers behind the buggy, but enjoyable, Dead Island) has announced that the "Project Hell" game they revealed last August will be released for the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 sometime later this year under the title Hellraid.
