If the first half of The Walking Dead's seventh season took its time building up the plot and slowly planting the seeds for what was to come, then the second half looks to be another beast entirely as it hits the pedal to the metal in a race to what's sure to be an explosive conclusion. All-out war is coming to the hit AMC series and according to the network, Rick and his gang will be "tested in ways we’ve never seen before" as they attempt to band together and take down Negan.
It's hard to believe, but we're now less than a month away from Hugh Jackman's final turn as Wolverine. The actor first portrayed the iconic hero way back in Bryan Singer's X-Men - which hit theaters in 2000, for those of you keeping track - and after James Mangold's Logan releases, he'll hang up the adamanitum claws for good. Unless Ryan Reynolds can convince him to cameo in Deadpool 2, that is.
Viral marketing. Some love it, while others could care less about it. It's becoming more and more popular though and not only with films. Television shows are also starting to adopt the approach and it looks like Netflix's Stranger Things is the latest one to jump on the wagon. With promotion about to kick into high gear - thanks to an upcoming Super Bowl spot - the streaming service has now begun the viral campaign, and it's revealed something very interesting.
The role of Cable in Deadpool 2 has got to be one of the most sought after in Hollywood at the moment, as every actor under the sun wants to hop on board the Merc with a Mouth's next outing. Almost ever since the original film hit theaters, we've been hearing of potential names for who may play Cable in the sequel, but speculation intensified the other week when Ryan Reynolds posted a photo of himself with Pierce Brosnan, strongly hinting that the former James Bond star had snagged the role.
After the smashing success of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, fans are understandably beyond eager to catch their first glimpse of the recently titled Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Despite the questionable moniker, it's many people's most anticipated film of the year and with good reason. However, we still haven't seen any footage at all from the upcoming Rian Johnson-helmed blockbuster, and we may not for some time.
For the three people who might not know, the Super Bowl is this weekend. While it's a pretty big deal for football fans, there's more to the big game than just watching a bunch of overpaid athletes throw around the pigskin. Aside from being an excuse to get together with friends and eat enough pizza and wings to put you into a food coma, it's also a great time for studios to put their biggest upcoming releases in front of a massive audience.
Earlier tonight, DC Comics premiered its brand new show Powerless. However, unlike say Arrow or The Flash, this isn't strictly speaking a superhero affair. Instead, the series is a workplace comedy that focuses on the normal humans living in the same world as these larger than life heroes, and the repercussions that come along with that. Still, coming to us from DC, many fans are expecting easter eggs, nods and perhaps, even a cameo or two as Powerless carries out its debut season.
The Conjuring is the gift that just keeps on giving. At least, for the folks over at New Line, it is. The horror series has seen two very successful instalments already and also spawned spinoff Annabelle, which is getting a sequel this summer. But if you thought the haunted shenanigans would stop there, think again, as we now have The Nun, yet another spinoff to emerge from James Wan's frightening film.
Warner Bros. sent shockwaves through the internet when they announced that Ben Affleck would no longer direct The Batman. It wasn't terribly surprising, given how hesitant he's been about taking on the job, but everyone assumed that he'd be able to work out his differences with the studio and come to an agreement that he felt comfortable with. It turns out though that Big Ben just couldn't get on board with the script and so, he pulled out of the director's chair.
As we get closer to the highly anticipated midseason premiere of The Walking Dead, AMC has released a new 3-minute featurette for the first episode back, "Rock in The Road".
