Nato And Remy’s Last Stand: Our V/H/S 3 Directorial Dream Team
Horror anthologies always sound like a great idea during ideological conception, but unfortunately either end up being super hits or miserable misses. On the positive end you have a variety of well thought out short stories in films like Trick 'R Treat and Creepshow, while others like The Theatre Bizarre and Deadtime Stories jam-pack one or two truly entertaining entries in between a load of garbage that bogs the overall film down. Chillerama is a great example of such wasted potential, delivering three killer short horror films by some of my favorite current directors, but disheartens with a short so unfathomably unwatchable, you have no choice but to give the entire film a failing grade just on principle.

Crawlspace Review
Crawlspace is - well, I don't really know what Crawlspace is. Justin Dix's claustrophobic thriller is a little bit sci-fi, a tad bit horror, a smidgen physiologically thrilling, but a whole lot of something else. Whether or not that something is mystifying and brilliant or substance-less and horrid is completely up to the viewer, but Dix certainly gives us a large chunk of varied material to process. Hope you've got your "paying attention" caps on for this one, along with a want for variety, as Dix's film is a handful of genres all mushed together like different colored Play-Doh in the palm of a pre-schooler.

Mama Review
For those of you still with no background on Andrés Muschietti's supernatural horror film Mama, it can all be traced back to a powerful little short film, well, short scene if we're being more accurate. Depicting the return of a mother to her two young daughters (we assume), we find out Mamá isn't all that into hugs and kisses, and she's actually some kind of apparition our pint-sized protagonists fear. Running only at about two and a half minutes, we get no explanation or backstory for what could have happened to Mamá, but someone rather influential became instantaneously impressed with Muschietti's effort, jumping on board to produce a feature film based on the tiny Mamá short. That man, as you now know, was visionary director Guillermo Del Toro (Pan's Labyrinth/Hellboy), who can now be seen introducing Muschietti's short film for all to see.

30 Nights of Paranormal Activity With The Devil Inside The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Review
After starting 2013 out on such a bad note with A Haunted House, I thought to myself "Surely things can't get any worse." Then I remembered that with all the awful, horribly crafted, exploitative spoof movies out there, there's someone twelve steps behind them making insultingly cheap spoof movies without a single productive thought behind the whole f*cking production.

Cockneys Vs Zombies Review
Since Shaun of the Dead, for some reason I get extremely giddy whenever I hear the UK has produced another lovable zombie flick. Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg won me over in a matter of seconds with their witty British sensibilities and copious amounts of zombie munching gore, and I guess I'm looking for that next big score to follow suit.
