Marc Webb Tweets Curious New Teaser Photo For The Amazing Spider-Man 2
With filming underway on The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and casting news still rolling in, like Paul Giamatti and Felicity Jones recently signing on, we really can't tell where this Andrew Garfield led sequel is truly heading. It looks like multiple baddies are now in play with Giamatti reportedly portraying The Rhino to accompany Jaime Foxx's Electro, but director Marc Webb is looking to rile up his rumor-hungry fans with an exclusive picture thay people everywhere are debating.

Nato And Remy’s Last Stand: The ABCs Of Death Cheers And Jeers!
Being the total horror nuts we portray in our writings, Remy and I absolutely caught the film already, both coming to a simple conclusion - there is some absolute good, some unforgettable badness, and then there are some shorts that just make you say "what the f#ck?!" Still though, it's worth at least one watch for true horror fans based on the concept alone - but Remy and I would like to make your watch a little easier by giving our recommendations on what shorts to soak in and what shorts to fast-forward. The ABCs Of Death Review
The anthology horror film - a fun way to jam-pack as many ideas as possible into one feature film, bringing in a number of directors to inject their own cinematic styles in a grand spectacle of varietal bliss - or so that's the idea. Although not as popular in today's horror scene, these types of films do exist, but without proper execution they've mostly flown under the radar and been written off by most critics. Films like Chillerama, The Theatre Bizarre, George A. Romero Presents Deadtime Stories, and V/H/S tried their hardest to make the unique sub-genre relevant again, but only V/H/S has seen success over the last year, already spawning the sequel S-VHS. V/H/S was special though, challenging directors to film on alternate recording methods from iPhone cameras to VHS recorders, ultimately giving the whole package an even more unique edge. An anthology is fun, but an anthology with restrictions is even more impressive and marketable - something ABCs of Death embraces to the fullest. The question is, could this ambitious idea be translated into a cohesive collection of fresh material worth the two hour run time? Or would the insanely bountiful amount of shorts be a sensory overload of "too much and too fast?"

Warm Bodies Review
Alright, I'm going to admit right off the bat I went into Warm Bodies a bit of a skeptic. A mainstream romantic-comedy about zombies who start turning back into humans, saved by the power of love? Cue the rainbows, awkward undead advances, and preposterous scene where a female admits she's in love with a zombie. I mean, I'm the horror guy - I want to see my zombies ripping hearts out of victims, not grow their own in a conflicted showing of emotion. Again, they're zombies, how do they have emotions! It goes against everything I've been taught by my zombie senseis like George A. Romero! But since Jonathan Levine was in charge, director of the beautiful cancer comedy 50/50 and quirky story The Wackness, all my chips were in the middle on this one. If the dude could make me laugh at a man struggling to deal with his cancer diagnosis, a zombie relationship seemed like a walk...err shamble...in the park.

The Wolverine Teases Trailer Date
Let's be honest comic book fans - we've been waiting for a while to see Wolverine properly portrayed on-screen. Hugh Jackman has filled the mystical Canadian's shoes rather well to this point, but no story has truly grasped Wolvie's true potential. Up until now he's been nothing but a regenerating punching bag - but James Mangold's X-Men spin-off The Wolverine is attempting to change all those pre-conceived notions.

American Mary Review
Last year I caught a darkly comedic yet emotionally jarring body-centric horror film called Excision, showing the twisted road an high school student/aspiring surgeon travels down by mixing strange fetishes, sisterly love, bad parenting, and awkward teenage years. Fast forward to 2013, and we've got another bodily horror film about an aspiring surgeon, except this time she uses her medicinal powers for evil after a series of unfortunate events. The film, titled American Mary, is directed by the Soska sisters (Jen/Sylvia), the same two Canadian sisters responsible for the recent grindhouse wannabe Dead Hooker In A Trunk. So yeah, it's pretty much wholesome family entertainment.

Evil Dead Remake Originally Received NC-17 Rating
Fede Alvarez's Evil Dead remake has been boasting a bevy of marketing material highlighting the fact that we're in for a no-holds-barred, stomach churning gore-fest to challenge even the bravest of horror fans, so I've been giddily excited for April 12th to say the least. From tidbits like 50,000 gallons of blood being used in one day to the film using absolutely no CGI, practical horror fans like myself are already thinking this remake is going to be something special. But as a true gore-seeker, always looking to see how directors are willing to push the appropriate envelope, today's news comes as the most exciting of all.
