The Purge 2 Lands Frank Grillo
In today's horror world, if your film can gross $89 million worldwide on a (relatively) measly budget of $3 million, you're bound to start hearing the world "sequel" in no time. 2013's surprisingly entertaining horror/thriller The Purge is the most recent beneficiary of the before mentioned scenario, which turned a pretty profit for producers Michael Bay and Jason Blum. The Purge 2 was inevitably announced a few months later, with Jason DeMonaco returning as writer and director, but since the announcement, we haven't heard much in the way of details.

Nato And Remy’s Last Stand: Ten 2014 Horror Films To Look Forward To!
Wait - 2013 is coming to a close already?! I feel like just yesterday I was finding out about Fede Alvarez's Evil Dead remake, debating with my horror loving brethren whether or not such a sacred property should be touched. Now, here I am starting to format my "Best Of/Worst Of" lists for 2013's slew of horror films, reflecting on a year that saw tremendous highs and rock-bottom lows. While Remdog and I already reflected on our predictions from 2013, and how right/wrong we both were, it's now time to put the past behind us, and look forward to an entirely fresh batch of horror movies - 2014 horror time!

Chucky Will Kill Again In A Seventh Child’s Play Movie
It's amazing how one film can single-handedly rejuvenate a franchise, despite being one of horror's most storied franchises. There were major question marks after Chucky became a daddy in Seed Of Chucky, but thanks to Don Mancini's brilliant reboot/sequel hybrid Curse of Chucky (which I LOVED), it comes as no surprise that the Chuckster's legacy will live on so he can slash through another day.

Why The Halloween Movie Season NEEDS The Saw Franchise Back
An average reader may think this article is nothing more than troll bait (including myself if it were a few years back), but I 100% back my thoughts and feelings on a new Saw film - even if I may be in the closeted minority. While I completely understand that my stance probably isn't popular, and I'm putting myself in quite the position by coming out of the closet on this one (no, not that way), but the horror fan in me sees absolutely no problem with Lionsgate moving ahead on Saw 8 - or whatever franchise incarnation they decide to move forward with. It's inevitable, has recently been announced by Lionsgate themselves, and is the move we all knew money-hungry studios would make eventually - and why not? Would I like to play a game, again? Yes, I absolutely do, and you should too.
