Rachel McAdams is now attached to another romantic comedy, About Time. The film comes to us from writer Richard Curtis (Notting Hill, Love Actually,) and will start production in London this June. McAdams is replacing Zooey Deschanel, who had been linked to the project for months.
THR is reporting that Russell Brand will be hosting the 2012 MTV Movie Award Show on June 3rd, live from the Gibson Amphiteatre in Universal City, California. Despite Brand never hosting a movie award show before, he has played host for MTV in the past. Back in 2008 Brand caused a stir while hosting the 2008 VMAs. During the ceremony, he made some choice remarks about the Jonas Brothers and their purity rings.
The Paperboy is one of the first films set to screen at the Cannes Film Festival next week. The feature is based off the novel by Pete Dexter which focuses on reporter Ward James(Matthew McConaughey) who returns home to Florida to investigate death row inmate Hillary Van Weet (John Cusack). Zac Efron and Nicole Kidman will co-star and Lee Daniels is the man behind the camera.
Matthew McConaughey has been trying to establish a career where his character is not the lead in a romantic comedy for some time now. He's been trying to find more dramatic roles and recently, he worked with John Cusack and Lee Daniels on The Paperboy. It seems as if the three enjoyed each other's company and according to THR, a reunion is now in the works.
