THR is reporting that Russell Brand will be hosting the 2012 MTV Movie Award Show on June 3rd, live from the Gibson Amphiteatre in Universal City, California. Despite Brand never hosting a movie award show before, he has played host for MTV in the past. Back in 2008 Brand caused a stir while hosting the 2008 VMAs. The Paperboy is one of the first films set to screen at the Cannes Film Festival next week.
