Could it be true? While we were all theorizing about a reinvented Hawkeye coming back to save the day, Captain Marvel being the hero of the hour or even a whole load of time traveling hoopla, have we missed the most obvious explanation for the end of Avengers: Infinity War?
Refusing to follow Kylo Ren's instructions to let the past die, a new fan theory has conjured up an origin story for Star Wars: The Last Jedi's Supreme Leader Snoke.
For all of its faults - and there are many - 2016's Suicide Squad (with more than a little help from an awesome Margot Robbie) nailed the character of Harley Quinn, so her re-appearance in the DCEU was a real no-brainer. As such, Birds of Prey, her next outing, is arguably the most anticipated upcoming movie in DC's arsenal. And for a special occasion such as that, it's worth investing in a new outfit, right?
Just as we try to stop getting our hopes up for reboots and sequels such as The Predator and Halloween, we're now getting all worked up yet again with The Terminator.
Whereas we should all know better than getting excited about a new follow-up to the 1987 original horror/actioner Predator, there's something about the timing of Shane Black's The Predator that would make us glow red on a hunter's thermal vision. This is especially true now that we're hearing that those much discussed reshoots have resulted in the addition of a few further callbacks to previous films in the beloved series - while also re-working the third act, too.
With Avengers 4 far off on the horizon, there's still plenty in Infinity War to keep fans theorizing, and the latest bit of speculation has some big implications for the upcoming sequel and may even give us a clue as to not only Thanos' whereabouts, but also his when-abouts.
Sure, that's no biggie; there have been episodes without him before and the ensemble cast is now so well established that you can almost forget that he's not there, if only for a second. But recent signs have pointed to the possibility that he may only appear in a handful of episodes and, *whispers* might actually get killed off.
No, of course it's not really a thing. But where there's Snoke there's fire, and this tongue-in-cheek fan-art for Star Wars: The Last Jedi is well worth a look.
