This week, Jon and Will spent a lot of time discussing The Lego Batman Movie and John Wick Chapter 2. They also spoke briefly on some new TV shows, including Legion on FX and Doubt on CBS, which premieres this week. They also talked about 50 Shades Darker and provided some early spoiler-free thoughts on Cure for Wellness.
While every year seems to bring with it at least a couple of major disappointments, 2016 seems to have been a particularly weak outing for film. The gems were hidden few and far between and more often than not, we left the theater feeling underwhelmed, upset or just plain angry at what we'd just watched.
Each and every year, television just gets better and better. At least, that's how it seems. With the rise of subscription-based streaming services like Netflix and bigger budgets being afforded to TV shows, we're seeing some truly tremendous work being done on the small screen. It used to be that A-list stars turned their nose up at the medium, but in 2016 we've seen talent like Sir Anthony Hopkins, Tom Hardy, Ed Harris, Kevin Spacey and many more all grace our screens.
As we head into the final days of 2016, it's time to look back on the past 12 months in film and reflect on the hits and the misses, the surprises and the disappointments. While this year hasn't been particularly strong, at least in our opinion, there were still a handful of notable efforts that moved us, brought us to tears, had us rolling in our seats laughing or standing on our chairs pumping our fists in the air.
Thanks in large part to the numerous leaks and untimely ESRB listings, BioShock: The Collection is an HD re-release that isn't likely to surprise anyone when it hits store shelves - but if that exposure has in any way diminished excitement for 2K Games' complete package, it doesn't show.

David Ayer's Suicide Squad is now out in the wild, and though it seems to be dividing critics and fans right down the middle, there are definitely a few parts of the film that we can all agree worked pretty well. Aside from Ayer really nailing the look and feel of the source material, a few of the characters stood out as definite highlights as well.
After a nearly 10 year hiatus, Matt Damon is back in action as Robert Ludlum's iconic spy in Jason Bourne, the new film from director Paul Greengrass that sees him reunite with the actor in an attempt to steer the franchise back on course after the middling spinoff The Bourne Legacy.

Year after year, E3 brings with it lots to get excited about, from previously unannounced surprises to demos of the next big thing. E3 2016 was no different in this respect, as there were a lot of great games made available for demonstration, not to mention some very exciting announcements.
