‘My nipple’s where it used to be’: After 48 hours of ‘lows and highs,’ Jessie J. reveals update about her cancer battle

She was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier in June 2025.

Jessie J, the famous singer known for her hit song Price Tag, has given a big and hopeful update about her health after her recent fight with breast cancer. The 37-year-old artist had surgery earlier this month, and she has now confirmed that the cancer has been fully removed. She also shared a funny and honest detail about her recovery, saying, “My nipple is where it used to be.”

This news is a major step forward in her health journey, which she has been open about with her fans ever since she first shared her diagnosis of “early” breast cancer on June 3. As found by People, after her last performance in Wembley, U.K., just a few weeks after going public with her diagnosis, Jessie J went ahead with her breast cancer treatment plan.

Now, the successful surgery has brought her a lot of relief, which she expressed in a list of “pros” she posted on her Instagram. Among the good things about her recovery, she shared the happy news that her cancer is “all gone,” along with the lighthearted detail about her nipple.

Jessie J is finally cancer free

She chose to talk about her diagnosis because she wanted to connect with her fans and work through her own feelings. She admitted that, in a way, she hadn’t been talking about it enough because she had been so busy with work that she hadn’t fully processed the news.

She also remembered how much support and shared stories she had received in the past by being open about her struggles, which helped her stay strong. She kept a positive attitude the whole time, even joking that the upcoming surgery was a “very dramatic way to get a boob job” and promising to come back with “massive tits and more music.”

Even though her recovery has gone well, it hasn’t been without challenges, which she openly talked about in a “cons” list. One of the hardest parts is the “fear of not knowing if the cancer is all gone,” which is a common worry for anyone who has faced a similar battle. Physically, she has dealt with “pain and discomfort” when trying to sleep, and she humorously mentioned having trouble with constipation, likely because of the anesthesia and pain medication.

She also said she struggles with “not being able to be the Mum I’m used to being,” especially with her two-year-old son, Sky, since she can’t pick him up right now. Jessie J, an ex of Channing Tatum, is usually very active. However, she found it tough not being able to sit down comfortably.

Despite these struggles, she has a lot of support helping her through recovery. Her mom has moved in with the family to help out and provide comfort. Her boyfriend, Chanan Safir Colman, has been a huge source of strength, making her “feel safe.” And, of course, her son, Sky, just “being Sky,” brings her so much happiness and a sense of normalcy while she heals.
