A month ago, Marvel revealed that the Guardians of the Galaxy will be rebooted top to bottom following the fallout of the Infinity Wars event. Writer Donny Cates and artist Geoff Shaw were announced to be relaunching the team’s comic book series and Cates teased that it would feature an entirely new line-up of characters on their roster.

Over the past couple of days, the House of Ideas has started eking out just which heroes would be filling the team’s line-up, beginning with Cosmic Ghost Rider. Now, the whole lot has been revealed, handily compiled together in a gorgeous cover for the first issue, courtesy of artist David Marquez. The artwork bears the ominous question  “who will stand when the last Guardian falls?” and can be seen down below.

From the top down the revamped team consists of Groot, Moondragon, Nova, Silver Surfer, CGR, Adam Warlock, Beta Ray Bill, Darkhawk, Phyla-Vell, Guardian and, of course, Star-Lord at the head of the group as normal. There’s a variety of personalities here, too, many of whom we don’t expect to see eye-to-eye at first. For instance, Cosmic Ghost Rider and Silver Surfer were engaged in a deadly battle last time they met in Cates and Shaw’s Thanos series.

Back when the series was first announced, Cates teased what the premise for the first arc of his Guardians comic would be. Titled “Endgame,” the writer explained that: “It begins with the reading of Thanos’ last will and testament. An artifact that Thanos’ brother Eros dug out of his late brother’s heart, which very well may spell doom for the entire universe.” Not only that, but Cates has promised that his plans for the run are “INSANE” and at this point, we simply can’t wait to see what he has in store for us.

Watch out for Marvel’s relaunch of Guardians of the Galaxy when the first issue arrives in comic book stores in January.
