10 Characters We’d Love To See As DLC In Injustice 2

Unless you've been hiding under a rock or playing exclusively on the Nintendo Switch, you should know that Injustice 2 dropped on May 16th – and it's one of the best fighting video games in a long, long time. In my fellow colleague's review of it, he described how "its feature set is among the best in the genre, and there's plenty of reasons to keep playing even after the story ends." Yip, that's a pretty good summary of how we feel about it.

Doctor Manhattan

Considering his major role in Rebirth, it’s probably a given that Doctor Manhattan will appear in this game as a downloadable character at some point. Can you fathom how powerful he’ll be once he shows up? It’ll be like a merger between Raiden and Akuma. We don’t even think the fights will be fair anymore.

The major question is, will NetherRealm give him a pair of underpants or let him continue to be a nudist? It’s unlikely that the ratings boards will let the blue parts fly, though, even if the developers argue that little Manhattan is an actual weapon of mass destruction. Hey, maybe his underwear will be part of the Gear System and you can upgrade or something?

If the plan is to release a Watchmen-themed DLC, then we can rest assured that Manhattan’s definitely in the mix here, along with the likes of Rorschach and the Comedian. Personally, we can’t wait to pit these Alan Moore creations against each other and the rest of the DC universe.

Grifter

We’ve all been so excited about the possibility of Watchmen in Injustice 2 that we’ve forgotten about another major team: WildC.A.T.S. Since DC holds the rights to these characters as well, there’s a slim chance that we could yet see the gun-slinging Grifter in the series.

The man known as Cole Cash is a one badass MF who could give Red Hood a run for his money in the attitude and gun department. Built to last and trained in black ops, Grifter has the potential to be a dexterous and formidable character that’ll become popular amongst players. Plus, he’s got a cool-looking bandana mask to boot.

There’s a lot of talk about the inclusion of a host of characters from across the DC universe in this game, so why not get outrageous and choose them all?! To quote Michael Keaton in 1989’s Batman, “you wanna get nuts? Let’s get nuts!”
