As The Avengers are such a huge team of heroes, returning to the Marvel Alliance style of gameplay would most likely work best for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Of course, the game would need to undergo a serious overhaul to make it work on current-gen systems, with the many pointless conversations which plagued the original being dropped hopefully in preference of a greater focus on action and making each hero feel unique as you switch between them.

Even if 90% of the game were to follow a similar style of gameplay to those, one potentially very cool new addition would be to have specific solo missions for each Avenger at various points. However, rather than focusing on the usual suspects, let gamers infiltrate a facility as Ant-Man to let his fellow Avengers in, or as Thor to battle foes in the sky as your teammates take out those on the ground.

That’d be pretty exciting, right?
