2) Call Of Duty: Black Ops III
Over the years, I’ve played every single mainline Call of Duty campaign and completed almost all of them. And, in all honesty, I look forward to the games’ campaigns unlike others who only care about the multiplayer. Then again, while I’ve always enjoyed playing against human competition, I find that I get more enjoyment out of beating games’ single player stories than hopping online and going the competitive route.
Both Call of Duty 2 and Call of Duty 4 absolutely hooked me, though, and I spent tons of hours stabbing, shooting and blowing up others online. Since then, I’ve played quite a bit of their successors, although none of the games’ multiplayer suites kept me as interested as those two had before.
[zergpaid]Things have changed this year, though, because Call of Duty: Black Ops III is a blast to play online and something that I can see myself playing for quite some time. After all, it’s also hands down the best multiplayer game released this year, beating out Halo 5, Rainbow Six: Siege and Star Wars: Battlefront in my books.
Of course, multiplayer is just one part of the Call of Duty experience, and with Black Ops III there’s even more on offer than usual. Not only is there one lengthy campaign that clocks in at about 10 hours in length, but there’s a second campaign that is even longer by most accounts. On top of that, there’s the addictive Dead Ops II arcade game — which exists as an Easter egg much like the Nightmares campaign — and the fan favourite Zombies mode that many have fallen in love with.
Treyarch really blew me out of the water with this release by delivering one of the most content rich shooters you’ll probably ever play.
