6 Tips To Help You Get A Head Start In Destiny 2

After three excruciating years of patient waiting, Guardians the world over finally have a brand new adventure awaiting them in the form of Destiny 2. For both Bungie and its community, the road to realizing that eventuality has been a long - and often times bumpy - one fraught with delays, stopgaps and promises of a bigger, better and more cohesive universe to explore.

4) Take Care When Dismantling Gear

At one point or another, every Destiny player has felt the sting of dismantling a piece gear, either by sheer accident or simple ignorance, only to later discover its status as the most broken bit of kit in the entire universe. Wet behind the ears as I, and all of us, for that matter, were back in 2014, one of the very first Exotics I obtained, and subsequently dismantled, was the Gjallarhorn which, as I soon learned, was probably the biggest video game-related mistake of my life.

As of now, it’s still too soon to call which Exotics and Legendaries will be considered the best at what they do, and now that Guardians’ own personal Vaults aren’t cluttered with three year’s worth of junk, there’s no reason not to stow away everything and anything that shows potential until the dust settles.

That goes for everything, by the way, not just the rarest of rare gear. Obviously, there’s not enough storage space on Earth for you to keep hold of every basic, common and rare item, but just play it smart – look over each weapon’s perks and take it for a test drive before scrapping it for Glimmer. Anything below Legendary rarity can’t be infused to bolster its power, of course, but that’s not an issue for level-locked combat in the Crucible.

As an aside for PvP enthusiasts, be sure to cherish the Pariah auto rifle gifted to you in Destiny 2‘s opening hour, it’s a monster when used against fellow Guardians.
