The dust has settled. As of writing, Destiny 2‘s servers have now been running at full capacity for just over a week, no doubt causing endless headaches for server technicians as they attempt to account for the swathes of Guardians logging in every single day to mop up remnants of the sequel’s campaign and many side activities, but already, so soon after launch, players have uncovered all sorts of quirky secrets and Easter eggs that Bungie have lovingly sprinkled over its open-ended world(s).
References, hidden areas, in-jokes and puzzles: just like the original Destiny, they’re all here, present and accounted for, silently waiting for just one inquisitive Guardian to stumble upon them and let the world know of their discovery. So far, no head-scratching conundrums on the same scale of Rise of Iron’s raid Exotic quest have been unearthed or deciphered – give it time, Destiny 2‘s still in its infancy – but the more inquisitive Guardians among us have certainly gotten off to a good start.
Chances are, this is not even close to being an exhaustive list of every secret or Easter egg to be found in Destiny 2, and more will likely be found with each passing day, but for now, here are some of the best that you might have missed. Enjoy!
