6 Secrets And Easter Eggs You Might Have Missed In Destiny 2

References, hidden areas, in-jokes and puzzles: just like the original Destiny, they're all here, present and accounted for, silently waiting for just one inquisitive Guardian to stumble upon them and let the world know of their discovery. So far, no head-scratching conundrums on the same scale of Rise of Iron's raid Exotic quest have been unearthed or deciphered - give it time, Destiny 2's still in its infancy - but the more inquisitive Guardians among us have certainly gotten off to a good start.

Ever since the arrival of Destiny‘s first and most fondly-remembered raid, it’s become apparent to the shooter’s community that Bungie has a fondness, of sorts, for including platforming elements in many of its activities.

Besides the Gorgon Maze and the final, awe-inspiring confrontation with Atheon, the Vault of Glass will always evoke feelings of nostalgia for its ‘jumping puzzle’ section and the fits of laughter that ensued from Fireteams as they watched their teammates fall into a bottomless abyss as a result of poorly-timed acrobatics; it’s that same sense of consequence free fun that the developer has utilized for both of Destiny 2‘s social spaces. Both the Farm and Tower 2.0 contain activities that demand a certain element of finesse on the player’s part, including a cute – but very deadly – take on the Floor is Lava’ challenge.

To participate in the latter, head up to the same balcony where the purple ball now resides and investigate the small pile of equipment nearby that warns you with an on-screen prompt not to pick it up.

Naturally, you’ll want to ignore this completely and pick up whatever’s lying on the floor which, in doing so, will cause your Guardian to be enveloped in a red aura. Spin around to face the plaza area of the Tower and you should be able to make out a blue checkpoint. Make your way there with the aura and you’ll be granted a speed and jump boost until you either die or leave the Tower.

The caveat, of course, is that you’re not allowed to set foot on the ground. Doing so will cause you to rapidly lose health and, you guessed it, become a very dead Guardian.
