Coming in both Jason Rusch and Martin Stein variations, Firestorm uses his fierce flames to dish out damage from afar. In this introductory footage, we see the powerful character maul Green Arrow with a series of different blasts, and mow through Catwoman with powerful strikes. As mentioned in the first look at the red-hot brawler, we also see him power-up up his abilities by turning his flames blue.

In other Injustice 2 news, we also learned that the title will indeed feature in-game currency that players can buy with real-world cash. Dubbed Source Crystals, this premium currency will let customers purchase cosmetic upgrades for every character in the game. These upgrades do not fall into the Gear category, though, and players won’t be able to pay to increase character stats. You can, however, change the look of Gear pieces in order to better suit your style preferences.

The two main types of cosmetic upgrades that can be purchased are Character Shaders and Premiere Skins. Character Shaders allow players to alter the color of your character’s outfits into styles that have never been seen before. In the example provided by NetherRealm, we see Harley Quinn decked out in both Green/Blue and Blue/Pink colors. Premiere Skins let you change every aspect of a character’s appearance, and have the power to turn them into someone completely different. Again, only visual, but you can turn Supergirl into Powergirl, if you really feel up to it.

With the release of Injustice 2 about two months away, expect more information on characters and Source Crystals to arrive soon. The highly-anticipated sequel is set to be with us on May 16 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
