By no means should you take our word for it, though. Microsoft’s released a new gameplay trailer for the Xbox One and Windows 10 title today, dedicating every second of screen time to showcasing the new weapons and vehicles Frank will be using in his quest to uncover the truth behind the outbreak.

And what better setting to have than the place where the whole catastrophe began? Dead Rising 4 will bring the series full circle this December when it returns to the Willamette Mall, which is a “key piece in Frank’s search for the truth behind a government conspiracy.”

Of course, getting to the truth won’t be easy, as there’s an endless number of undead standing between Mr. West and his goal. As it turns out, shopping malls are a breeding ground for improvisation. Chainsaws, flame cannons and high-tech mech suits are the order for the day in this here retail establishment. Why take a detour around a blockade of abandoned vehicles when you can simply punch it out of the way?

Those are just the tip of the iceberg, though. We’re sure Capcom’s wanting to keep some of the wacky weapon combos a secret until release day, but several have already been revealed by way of the game’s pre-order bonuses.

Dead Rising 4 hits Xbox One and Windows 10 on December 6. A PlayStation 4 version is due to follow next year.
