New Evidence Suggests Rocksteady’s Superman Game May Be Revealed Soon

It's the one rumor that refuses to die down: Rocksteady's secretly working on a Superman game. But this time, there's reason to believe it.

It’s the one rumor that just refuses to die: Rocksteady’s secretly working on a AAA Superman video game, with the studio planning to give the Man of Steel the same treatment they gave Batman with the Arkham series. It’s something which would make the dreams of many come true, but to date, it’s been nothing more than a rumor, and it still remains as such.

However, some new evidence has surfaced today which indicates that this title may actually be about to be revealed to the world. To start with, a listing on Game System Requirements teases Superman: World’s Finest, and given that this is the same site who leaked Devil May Cry V before it was officially announced, there’s reason to believe they know what they’re talking about.

Not only that, but IGN has also pointed out that a job posting on Rocksteady’s website is seeking someone to work on “a AAA title on the next generation platforms.” Sure, that could be anything, but there’s yet another piece of evidence playing into all this, and that’s that the Game Awards are just a few weeks away and with the promise of 10 new game announcements, you can see how all the pieces of the puzzle are starting to fall into place rather well.

Of course, even despite the overwhelming amount of evidence starting to stack up, we can’t say for certain that Rocksteady is currently developing a Superman game. Although, given the studio’s pedigree and vast experience in the genre of superheroes, it would make a lot of sense if their follow-up to Arkham Knight involved the Man of Steel.

Besides, with Henry Cavill reportedly on the verge of leaving the role of Superman for good, a full-blown AAA video game revolving around the Last Son of Krypton would certainly help ease the pain, wouldn’t you say?
