8) World Champion – Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 

Multiplayer achievements are notoriously painful, but Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighters’ World Champion probably takes the crown as perhaps the most ridiculous ever created. The achievement’s name leaves little to the imagination and is no mean feat. World Champion requires the player to top the game’s global leaderboard, no less.

Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter’s multiplayer was extremely popular, so topping the leaderboard was a hugely demanding and time consuming task. Ironically, hours of hard work (upwards of 1000) is only rewarded with a measly 40 gamer points.

Of course, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter’s servers have long since gone down, so any chance of 100% this game is long gone for those that missed out.

Please developers, stop it with the frustrating multiplayer achievements!
