5) Abraham
Regardless of which version of Abraham you saw bite the bullet first, there’s no denying that the steadfast, outwardly strong member of Rick’s group drew the short end of the straw in receiving a dignified death. I mean, having an arrow shot cleanly through your skull is considerably less gruesome than being beaten to death with a baseball bat, but either way, you have to feel for the guy.
Abraham’s one of few characters in The Walking Dead that’s deceased in both versions of the series, and as my personal favorite, it pains me so that his dorky sense of humor and integral role as one of Alexandria’s finest defenders will never again make an appearance on paper or screen, but all hope’s not lost quite yet.
Of all the stragglers to have integrated themselves into Rick’s loyal band of survivors over the years, Abraham, along with Eugene and Rosita, spent a sizable amount of time out in the post-apocalyptic wilderness before happening upon their future comrades, so there’s plenty of opportunities to tell stories so far untold.
We, of course, know that Abraham was on the brink of mental breakdown following the horrific events that befell his wife and children and that only Eugene’s cock and bull story about being a scientist kept him going, but we’ve only ever heard, in passing, about the events leading up to their debut.
There are certainly avenues that Telltale can explore for such a potential spinoff and, as we know from Abe himself, the three were originally part of a bigger group – a perfect jumping off point.
